Nonsense. Even if they randomly pick the right guy, there is absolutely no way to definitively confirm it. There is no D.N.A. to compare and no evidence of any kind that is solely linked to the Zodiac that can't be linked to multitudes of others. Its an unsolvable case that will forever exist in speculation along with Jack the Ripper.

There were two killers, the Taxi driver was the one taking credit and looks the most like the police sketch, the person who killed the taxi driver is the real zodiac killer. He killed the taxi driver for taking credit for his killings.

They needed computers running the code 24/7 for years to figure out it was a mistake on his part.

The only way we will actually fine the zodiac is through some sort of DNA evidence. To get that we’re gonna probably have to find Donna Lass. From there you can only hope there will be DNA on her clothes like Catherine Eddowes.

Donna Lass was found in the 80s. Well her skull was found in the 80s actually. DNA confirmed her identity in the 2000s if im not mistaken. But the skull was identified as Donna Lass. It was found in the woods on the California side of lake Tahoe

It's not him, I have been researching for awhile. The Zodiac Killer used a road on the outskirts of Tracy, called Byron Road, it's where he picked up the mom and her child who escaped him. It's also connected to a dirt road that leads to an abandoned hotel, the Byron Hotel. Was popular in the 20s and what not, the government took control of it in 1941 to interrogate POWs. Became known as Camp Tracy, POW camps used coded messages, the Zodiac Killer was in the military and stationed at Camp Tracy.

Does nobody ever research case's? After fbi, there code breakers could not break it someone suggested releasing it to a puzzle magazine, two elderly people cracked it within 2 days, see they started with double symbols which obviously are the same and from there on pretty easy,,,AND THAT'S HOW THEY FOUND OUT THE CODE DIDN'T REVEAL HIS IDENTITY... I remember hearing about this for the first time. One of my coworkers actually mentioned it, and I was baffled. I've heard some things about the Zodiac Killer, but this shows that we do have some amazing and intelligent people looking into cases that happened many, many years ago. It just hit me. The z13 cypher has “my name is“ and then 13 characters “Gary F. Poste” (including the period and spaces) has 13 characters. And on top of that, In 2016 Gary F. Poste left a review on the movie “The Hunt For Ted Bundy” saying “Awful. Would give less than 1 star if I could. Ted Bundy is wildly overrated.”

Not only did Poste live within walking distance from "Murderer's Gulch" bridge, he moved to Jamestown, Ca. in October, 1969. Last contact from the "Zodiac Killer" was in October, 1969. It was him.

The cipher the zodiac used in his letter that supposedly had his name in it was incorrectly made making it nearly impossible to solve, after finding a couple of discrepancies they fixed the errors and were able to translate it. It does not in fact contain his name, and it discredits that guy who called a radio show pretending to be him.

I highly doubt this guy was the killer. Law enforcement has done this several times. Non law enforcement groups have claimed this person or that person is the killer. I think this is just one of those cases we will never know the truth. Not every case gets closure sadly.

There was a great doc on discovery I believe laying out an idea that the zodiac was multiple different people. Some just capitalizing on his name to avoid justice and others were accredited by cops trying to link their case to him for a good excuse for not closing them. Made some good points.
