When I was pregnant with my daughter, the midwife let my son (2yr at the time) do the heartbeat check and listen. Afterwards we talked about “heart beeps”, mummy had one, daddy had one, Joshie had one etc. It humanised the baby bump for him and helped him realise that it would be another little human person joining our family. I swear it really helped him bond with her when she arrived. They have such a strong connection. I’d recommend to anyone having a second child.

My partner and I have been struggling with secondary infertility and surprisingly watching your videos/vlogs has made me feel so much better... I normally get really upset watching/seeing someone else pregnant. It sucks but watching you makes my anxiety and all my sad emotions just go away for the moment. We fell pregnant so fast with our first and have been trying for our second since she was 7 months but now she's nearly 3... So all i can say is thank you so much for doing these daily vlogs and letting us see all the realness of pregnancy.... it just makes me so happy ☺

Being pregnant and having a toddler is so hard during the first trimester especially if you are working full time - I have huge admiration for single parents that don't have a support network - I just don't know how they manage to do it - women are truly remarkable ❤

I'm not a big commenter because normally, I'll see someone writing what I agree with, but I felt compelled to comment here. I just wanted to commend you for discussing the parts about how the deep depression affected you but also Alfie and Ottie. That is such a deeply personal experience and putting it out there takes a lot of courage but I truly believe your desire to help other's who experience it overrides it and that is worthy of much respect 🙏 What you experienced isn't one of those things where one can 'Fake it till they Make it' in my opinion as it can be debilitating like nothing else to have one's mind,in a way, turn on itself and if that makes sense. I experienced Post Pardom depression after my 1st child and had no one to turn to so I could relate in that way. Sorry, this is a long comment.

i really look forward to these vlogs. me and my daughter watch together after daycare. whenever ottie is on screen she shouts BABY!!! haha. also when i found out i was pregnant i immediately told my husband who smiled and said finally. we had been trying 6 months. i love the simple reveals. its so much more genuine.

I never ever comment on KZfaq videos, as I just love sitting back and watching Zoe and Alfie’s videos. But, every time I watch them recently I just can’t get over how incredible they are as parents. They were always going to be lovely and kind parents, but omg they are such fabulous, caring parents who listen to Ottie and are just so present. I work in childcare, and that presence that Zoe and Alfie show to Ottie, reflects no wonder she is so clever and communicative and happy. Her environment is so positive and full of love from the family, I have stopped watching every other KZfaqr except Zoe And Alfie because their kindness and giving to being parents and great people in general, makes me want to watch every old and new video. Even my boyfriend will sit and listen and just say they are such great parents with the cutest little bubba. It’s inspiring to watch, and I can’t wait to become a mum in a good few years and to inspire to be like Zoe and Alfie. Thank you for vlogging everyday in August, it makes my summer holidays so exciting hehe. Xxx

I relate to the bath. When I was pregnant, bath/ showering gave me so much anxiety it was such a tense situation, it also didn’t help that we have a bath shower combo - it was fear of slipping, the dread of being alone and doing it. My partner had to sit in the room with me, so could just chat to him 😅

Love watching Vlogust. I’ve been watching you and Alfie for years and years and I have to say I really love to be able to see what’s going on in both of your days in one vlog. Like the other day when you guys went to the amusement park and Alfie filmed him and Sean got n the roller coaster, it was nice not to have to go watch a whole Alfie vlog as well. I know it has a scary connotation but I’d love to see an Alfie Zoe Family Channel one day

I’m pregnant for the first time. My anxiety has been through the roof (I’m an anxious person anyway and had to come off anxiety meds). Mainly just not knowing if everything is okay or not. I went in for an early scan at what I thought was 6 weeks a few days ago was only able to see the sac, nothing else and was measuring only 5w2d. Everything’s in the right place but I can’t help but be extremely anxious and worried. My actual doctor’s appointment isn’t until the 30th, it’s driving me crazy!

I'm glad you discussed age gap. I had 2 boys, 6 years apart. By the time my youngest was able to "play" my oldest wanted to be left alone, door closed, typical tweenager so they never really got along. All my youngest wanted was to hang out with his big brother. By the time my youngest became a tween, my oldest graduated high school and left for the military. They are now 22 and 16 and don't talk, have nothing in common. Idk if anyone else has experienced this but it's so sad. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long between.

I found the guilt so awful in my first trimester! My baby girl is 20 months now (will be just 2 when baby comes) and I was so sick I couldn't leave my bed some days! I am also her main carer I look after her 6/7 days a week so she was NOT used to me being so distant she would stand at the stair gate shouting for me! She's a mummas girl through and through but like you say, holding onto knowing she won't remember it is so important! Can't believe our first babies are 4 months apart and our second babies will be literally days apart blows my mind! ❤

Yay! You answered my question about how you and Alfie found out. I love that Ottie was involved! That’s so cute! I’m currently pregnant (due in September). I involved my boyfriend with it too because we were both suspicious that I was pregnant. I took the test and the second line showed up SO fast, like it took seconds. Immediately I went and told him. It’s such a special moment to share and I don’t think I could have waited lol

I am 34 weeks pregnant with my first successful pregnancy. The anxiety is still so bad as I had 2 losses previous to this. That and I had anxiety previous to getting pregnant. I don't think I'm going to feel less anxious in this pregnancy until I have my little boy safe in my arms

I had a completely boring pregnancy. I worked throughout until I was 4 days overdue, when I called the office to tell my staff I was in labour. Gave birth that night. That was problematic, but I survived. I had 2 instances when I threw up. Each was after dinner in the evening. I craved cooked vegetables, cocktail gherkins and icecream. I had a few great books, but didn't look for problems.
