If you guys didn't know, Dolores was actually going into the studio on the day she was found dead to actually record a new verse for this cover. She had heard the cover and fell in love with the grungy metal sound from Bad Wolves and expressed that she wanted to do a new verse. That is one of the reasons why this cover and story has so much following to it.

This song was written by the Cranberries for two young boys who were blown up and killed by an IRA bomb walking by a bin outside McDonald's in Warrington England on Feb 26 1993, the boys were Tim Parry aged 12 and Jonathen Ball aged 3. They were innocent victims of war between Ireland and the UK, thankfully this war is over forever one hopes. But, may the souls from both sides of this long hard war finally RIP.

I get chills everytime i hear this!! I love the honest emotion you both show reacting to this song.. Awesome cover. Also listen to the acoustic version. He tells the story of what happen the day they recorded the song.

Dear Rich and Kel - I have a personal connection to the original version. It was written in response to the deaths of two children - Jonathan Ball and Tim Parry - in an IRA bombing in Warrington in England. I have a friend who turned the corner near where the bomb was planted, missing the explosion by seconds. Had he not turned that corner, we would never have met - and I would not have had the pleasure of getting him and his now-wife together.

Sounds weird I know but that is how I always heard that song internally. Now the music matches the power of the lyrics.

I absolutely love how they paid tribute to Dolores in this song with the gold woman. I tear up so bad from this damn song its unreal....

Every time I see the part where the woman writes 1-15-18 on the glass I get hit right in the feels. The Cranberries was such a huge part of my life growing up. This brings back so many memories, both good and bad.

I’ve watched so many of these reactions to this song and it just hit me, I would’ve loved to see her children’s reactions to this video. Must’ve been heartbreaking and amazing at the same time. They really did Dolores justice.
