I recently purchased this tripod and it is fantastic. I would like to know what is the purpose of the tiny nodule next to the screw where you mount the camera? What is it's purpose? It feels spring loaded. Thanks.

You are hilarious :D Only wanted an opinion on this small tripod but I got entertainment value as well - esp at 1:20 & 3.39.. "especially the girls", hehehehehhh. I am one, a female, and have had to replay these segments because they are making me giggle very much. Thank you! ..& will prob buy the little tripod to add to my collection.. it looks perfectly fine for hikes/trips etc! :D *Also very concise and informative - the timelapse beginning v.good - no waffle, just the way we like it, plus entertainment value -- I hope you are still going with these (y) -- I'm going to follow your IG.

Hi dear Anirban Gangopadhyay! I mentioned the loading weight in the video at 1:36 + you can find the user manual in a link that appears in the description to this video. Since 5 Kg is the max. loading capacity - It seems that it will be able to cope with it, but I didnt try to see what happens if you load on it that much of a weight, as I usually prefer not to out-max the manufacturer's recommendation (this kind of tests I will save for KZfaq channels who test if items get ruined or not, unless I will have a budget to get another one and take the risk for it to be ruined). If a tripod like this (of a 2nd degree brand) says max load its 5kg, you should aim for a top camera gear weight of 2.5kg and maybe 1 extra kg of weight in order to make tripod more stable.... i wouldn't risk a Full frame + large tele lens on this tripod to be honest... And it's common sense... you can't depend on a 30 dollar tripod for a 4000 dollar gear

I bought one of these Q111 55 thinking that I would save some money, well, the first thing right out of the box the horizontal control nut was loose and when I checked it, it was stripped and I could not get it to screw back in and lock the head position. Since the cheap plastic tilt pan head is not removable, you can not install another head i.e. ball head or fluid head, your stuck with head that comes with it. I ended up sending it back to the ebay seller for a "PARTIAL REFUND" and I had to threaten the seller to even get that, in my opinion these Zomei Q111 tripods are cheap JUNK ! I recommend that you save your money and buy a good tripod !

Hey dear Maine Man! Thank you very much for your input, it's always good to have another person's point of view. You describe a different experience than the one I had with this tripod. Until today I recommended many people about it and I don't recall anyone mentioning the problems you describes,. Usually in this case it's best to contact the seller and let him know you feel this way, but you mention you had a bad experience with the seller as well. Personally speaking I don't tend to purchase stuff on Ebay, and maybe this can explain the problem you had with the specific product you purchased... Hi dear Aroar Gaming ! The movement is possible and you will be able to achieve an OK result - I did that myself several times in the past in some of my videos, so you can go over them and check that a bit (I dont recall which ones, as I shoot videos with different equipement in different locations, and mostly in static positioning). But keep in mind that this camera's head is not intended for this purpose as it's more suitable for static photography. If you are not an expert photographer / never used panning before in your videos - it can be a good start. If you want a professional result - get a camera with a proper panning head (that probably will cost you more) or get the head itself (if you'll need recommendation I can help you with that also). If I will be able to shoot a panning movement with this tripod soon - I will update this information in the description to the video. Here is a playlist with all the video reviews I made about tripods so far: kzfaq.info/sun/PLNpPyCDfd-6GKhuVwWQAMQFIMnNgNL2ee If you have the budget the BONFOTO B671C Tripod will be perfect (it is better for stills photography). The Yunteng VCT-691 Tripod was also very impressive - it's basically the same as the ZOMEI Q111, but has this head that makes it suitable for pan/tilt movement. You can purchase this head separately and place it on your tripod, but if you don't have it then you'll need to find a specific one (once again - I can help you find one, but I didn't review a specific one so far so I prefer to recommend what I already reviewed). Keep in mind all my videos include in the description (to the video) links to purchase the items online (Via Amazon US/UK, Aliexpress etc.). Panning can be jerky with this tripod also the leg struts are plastic which is far from ideal, leg struts should always be metal

Hi dear Bill Howie, Thanks for sharing your input regarding this tripod. You are correct that panning is not ideal, but you can easily add a pan/tilt head and it will solve the problem. The legs never were an issue for me, but I believe you mention that from your personal experience which is why I always glad & recommend having another person's point of view. I assume the Zomei Q666, which I didnt review so far, is similar to this one: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hLeTYNOc2Zfcj3U.html If that's the case, then I advise you to watch carefully both videos + read the description to the videos, in which I add more details regarding each tripod. From what it seems so far, the Q666 is more expensive, seems to be made from different type of material, has a bowl head which is abscent from the Q111, doesn't have a handle for movement. hello, it is very important if you could reply to me (please mark my comment with a like so i can know you replied) Did your tripod hold its own after 3/4 years of usage? i like very much this product but i don't know if this is a reliable brand and a reliable product, because i wouldn't risk my DSLR + Lens but i am restricted to a cheap solution
