Thank you, this helped a lot! I was looking at this one and the carbon fibre one, watched the comparison video and I will be going with the Q555. I tried the affiliate link, but they don't ship to Australia, so I bought one locally from eBay. I was looking for a tripod without that arm as I sometimes to product review type videos, and that handle is in the way LOL That fluid head, what model is this? Might be something to look into as an upgrade. Love your energy and it shows that you are actually using it, and not just a quick overview. Thanks!

What is the use of those numbers on the head ?My tripod head feels loose below those horizontal graduations.what causes that ?Thanks for your review ,very detailed. If there was options for stars 🌟 I would give you 10/10 .

What is diameter of ballhead? Zomei M8 has 3 cm. I am tied between this and that. But if this has on par ball-head then would go for this at half the cost of M8

I had never heard of this 'Zomei' but your video presentation makes me wanting to go for it and not the carbon fiber one but this one! I can see the reasons you mentioned are subtle but strong. I have a question. Generally when a tripod head extends, it becomes wobbly and weak the whole set up gets and so centre rod/column tripod has to be avoided unless one uses height for very little use. Did you find such during usage? Should one get tripod which gets tall enough from legs but not from?

My Q555 came in today (9/15/2016)! You mentioned that your quick-release plate didn't have the butterfly screw on the bottom. I guess the newer models now have it because mine did! :) That does make it a lot easier to screw it down to (and off of) your camera! Great video.

The kneck can also be removed and inverted so you can get the camera super close to the ground for macro shots.

Got a version of this sent to me from China. Seems legit . Having tried it for a bit I would say this is a light duty tripod . When you fully retract the last leg it can be quite wobbly and spindly . It is very much a travel tripod . In my case this is going to be used with a second one for a slider system.. I am not sure I would feel confident using this for a large pro DSLR with say a 24-70 lens. Like yours, mine does not have a monopod option... but considering the thinness of the legs I would say is a good thing. For $50 this is adequate but would not recommend for everyday use.

My mother bought me a “HILLPOW Q1 tripod”on Amazon. The rubber feet on the bottom of the tripod legs grip nicely on level and any unbalanced surfaces. And it has a quick release mount so you can swap out cameras with ease. Just cost 36.99GBP.
