Quite honestly, MOST of the times you said XY feature is “much better” on the iPhone X, I could see no difference. In some few cases, I actually liked the 7 Plus image better. I’m happy with my 7 Plus 😊

Christian Romeike what makes a photo so good? The camera? Well I’m pretty sure the camera isn’t self aware that would be creepy. It’s always been true in photography that the person behind the camera creates the photo not the camera. A phone camera can literally beat a dslr if it’s in the right hands. Just because he’s comparing both cameras side by side won’t make a difference because he’s taking the photos and no one else.

Garbage Gaming Agreed. Most of my friends owned dslrs for unbelievable photos. However, a photographer challenged them by his mid-range phone which had portrait mode. He actually won the challenge. So I agreed

You sure have to looks closely to appreciate any difference. The iPhone X does appear to have better dynamic range in most pictures, but iPhone 7 Plus appears to have a better flash on both the front and rear facing cameras. I think the most obvious advantage for the iPhone X is that it has a little less noise in the low light pictures, and has better stabilization on the zoom lens.

I noticed this on most occasions with my iPhone X. (I missed my 7) But I think this video shows there is give and take between models. The iPhone 7 does take great photos because it's still a great phone. They did really 'bring it' with the video quality on the iPhone X.

I was waiting on this. I’m starting to wonder if it’s a mind thing when people say the camera is so much better. In certain instances I see a difference but not to the point where it’s worth all the hype besides the portrait modes. With that said I love iPhone but will be sticking with my 8+.

iPhone X camera has a slight edge, but not all of the time. The iPhone 7 camera was impressive when it first came out and still is. Results are what count and there is no reason to rush out and upgrade because of the camera. I found the iPhone 7 Plus has a slightly green bias in poor light - this has been adjusted in the X to a more natural hue. If you post process, this is not an issue anyway. Interesting video that shows the strengths of both cameras.

Great comparison. I would have liked if you had slowed down a little. I have the 7Plus currently and am still on the fence about upgrading, though I agree that the change in quality isn't super noticeable. The increased telephoto stabilization and wider aperture of the iPhone X intrigue me. I was not impressed with a huge improvement in low light performance on your video, and in fact the flash photos were much better with the 7 Plus. I am going to look at some other reviews before deciding. Thank you.

7+ is for me more natural in color not too much saturated....almost no difference at all for ordinary users....but when it comes to price, there is the very noticeable difference between the two phones.

I prefer the 7 Plus. I’m not ever upgrading to a new iPhone. I like mine and I’ve had it since launch in 2016. The 7 Plus has a better camera too.

I buy iphone x just to see how good the camera improve. But after using it i feel my iphone 7 just has more detail and good colors saturation. My iphone x looks warmer and i don’t like that. I’m just regret buying this phone because it’s not great as the presentation when it launch.
