You're correct Saki. The Mimighoul archetype is a TCG-Premiere archtype! Really shows why they reprinted Sol & Luna and Guard Dog. There's always a reason, we just have to look at it, I guess. Speed Duel is just a casual form of the game, that's why they can't fire off side events. And I don't think they have giant cards for prizing, do they? I've only seen those for the Time Wizard events, which is the prizing that everyone wants from sides. Speed Duel is such a good intro to the game for new folks. A lot slower, less cards to stress about and learn about, and it's more akin to a board game in the way that you buy one box and you and your friends can all play together. It's a product that doesn't warrant a lot of additional sales because of that.

I always liked Chakanine. I hope she gets a higher rarity print. Also, the termination of Speed Duel can potentially mean the STP1 Blue-eyes and the secret rare Dark Magician Girl can go to the moon sometime soon. Just a hunch.

OG ultra still highest print for chakine, it will hit double digits again watch. I think tournament pack speed duel is def the way to go.

Fortress is because machina gearframe is seeing play. It wipes their board without proccing fortress monster effect. Which is really good.

Gotcha, its always a good tech against machine, but being a tier 0 format as we have now, Im not seeing anything played from snake eye besides a calmity lock or tenpai as well as usual suspects lol.

Considering RUSH Duel exists and is designed to get new players in, I do think Speed Duels are permanently done.

They could be trying out something new, but until I see an announcement I am placing my bets on it did not make enough money, which if you saw how badly it kept selling im not shocked at.

Rush Duel is a different game entirely. It doesn't bring anyone in to regular YGO. The cards aren't the same.
