The Zoom H4n Pro audio recorder is a robust and portable audio recorder with dual XLR inputs and up to 10 hours of battery life. This recorder is perfect for any sound recordist in the field. Stuart paired Sennheiser's MKE 600 Shotgun microphone, a highly directive microphone with a 'Low Cut' filter, to his Zoom H4n Pro recorder to remove wind noise and capture more intentional sound. To monitor the sound, Stuart uses the Sennheiser HD 25 On-Ear Headphones. Commonly used for DJs, the Sennheiser HD 25 headphones are affordable, lightweight, closed-back headphones that act as a natural reference for sound monitoring. This field recording equipment setup allows recordists to capture clear, directional sound in the field without having to worry about the distortion from wind and other natural elements.
After working for almost 20 years in sales and marketing in the tech industry, Stuart Beeby left the corporate business world in 2017 to follow his lifelong dream of starting his own business, Beeby Studios LLC, which provides Professional Photography and Video services for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations. "Are they connected by XLR?" what's 'They' They indicates Plural, TWO of Something. There is no 2 of anything. Clairfy PLZ.

⁠@@HoundDogMechIf you look at my message it says “I JUST PICKED UP BOTH OF THESE ITEMS” - Both means 2. Plural. Are BOTH OF THESE ITEMS (THEY) connected with XLR? The creator who put together the post already (politely) answered me.

Bonjour, j'utilise le H4nPro de chez Zoom ainsi que le Mic-D2 de chez Synco et pour être certain de ne pas être dérangé par le bruit du vent qui frappe les micros et aussi pour éviter que des poussières n'abiment le matériel couteux, je les ai tout 2 équipés de bonnette contre vent et poussière, ce qui n'altère pas la qualité du son. En visionnant ce short, je constate que l'un est équipé d'une bonnette poussière et l'autre n'a aucune bonnette et ceci fait la différence. Pour information, les bonnette de vent sont poilues et les bonnettes de poussières sont en mousse. Donc pour ma part cet homme n'a fait que prouver l'efficacité de la bonnette lors d'un enregistrement en extérieur, rien de plus. Ce short ne prouve aucunement que l'un est de meilleure qualité que l'autre. Le H4nPro a des réglages en fonction de son utilisation et de l'environnement dans lequel il est utilisé ce qui n'est pas le cas de l'autre micro présenté. Raison pour laquelle j'utilise ensemble le H4npro et le Mic-D2 (branché au H4nPro) afin de combiner les qualités des 2 micros. Je pense ne pas avoir été virulent ni agressif mais plutôt correct et précis sur ma vision du short présenté. Il est vrai qu'un point ou une explication aurait due être accompagnée de ce short afin d'éviter toute animosité. Bonne journée. De plus le H4nPro n'a nullement besoin d'être systématiquement dirigé vers un endroit précis car il est équipé de 2 micro qui sont réglables dans la direction (90 et 180 si je ne me trompe pas) raison pour laquelle la personne n'a pas dirigé vers elle ce micro. Alors que le micro fusil, lui, a besoin d'être dirigé vers sa cible. Les 2 micros ont une utilisation complètement différente et sont complémentaires afin d'affiner la qualité de l'enregistrement. il est donc impossible de comparer équitablement 2 micros qui n'ont pas la même utilité ni même le même fonctionnement.

well, you never held the H4N microphones in you direction (to your face), but you did it always with the sennheiser, so it's not a fair test!

Hey show how the ME 600 is Conected to the H4n Pro & H4n Prro is connected to the camera. You only told half the Story.OH What Mode is the H4n Pro in too. Are your Head Phones Plugged into the H4n Pro or the camera? That's w I hate SHRTS. 1 Minuteis not long to tell the whole STORY.

Ha! You’re pretty rude man. First you come at me like the grammar police when you didn’t even read my comment/question and now this silly question. There is an XLR cable connecting the mic to the H4N. His headphones are plugged into the headphone jack in the H4N. These are all very clear by watching the clip. He told the entire story he was trying to tell. This is a KZfaq short. Go to a longer tutorial if you don’t find the answer you’re looking for in a 60 second short video.
