Really clear video but if you want a cheaper way to switch your patches why wouldn't you use a Bluetooth midi controller like the m-vave Chocolate? Mine works flawlessly and was like $60 Cdn. That's gotta be around $40 US. Adds 4 more buttons and massive versatility.

WOW!!! I had no idea you could use a midi controller with it. Makes me wish I still had it lol I gave it away here on the channel as part of my 1000 subscriber contest. Thanks for the heads up.

I've been using this for almost 4 years now, it's a great pedal! very good multi stomp multi effects on my analog setup. The amps really sound amazing along with my Sansamp

Great video, thanks, Mack! I'm now deciding between new ms-60b and used b3 units. What would you suggest mainly for the gigging purpose between these two?

The B3 is a much larger unit, with more options, & I would assume a lot more DSP. It really depends on what you are using it for. I know that you said gigging, but are you using an Amp, or doing silent stage with on ear monitors? If you were doing silent stage with in ear monitors, I would say go with the B3. I'm not the most familiar with that unit, but I assume that it has XLR outputs, so no need for a DI box. You could go straight to the front of the house. Thanks so much for watching/commenting. @@MUSICIANGeeK thanks for the reply! AFAIK the b3 has only 3 simultaneous effects, but for me there is more appealing a 3 displays layout, which I think is easier to setup in live situation. I'm not a big-scene musician, just an amateur playing in small clubs time to time, usually through the AMP. Thanks again for the content, it's very useful for the bassists on YT) Keep on!

Hi, how are the sounds in general comparing the B1-four to the MS-60B: I read that the MS-60B had fuller soundstage. I also read that the B1-four had higher floor noise compared to MS-60B: is that true? Thanks

I have not noticed any difference in sound from the MS-60B compared to the B1-Four when using the same sounds. As I am sure you know, the B1-Four has every sound that the MS-60B has & even a few more. 1 weird thing about the B1-four, you can use 2 different software editors. ToneLib, & Guitar Lab. I prefer ToneLib, however, there are a few sounds that are not installed onto the B1-four when it's shipped, & you have to connect to Guitar Lab via your PC, or mack via USB, & have the software send the few sounds that are not available on this unit over to the unit. Once you have done it one time, you don't have to do it again. They are in the unit. You can use Tonlib, or no software editor at all. @@MUSICIANGeeK the B1-Four does NOT have the same AMP SIMS as the MS-60B B1-Four has 9 - MS-60B has 12 with CAB OFF option. also, the B2-Four has baked in MULTI-LAYER CAB IRs with each AMP SIM - bit of a deal breaker

"DARKRAT" patch by @andruca -> Darkglass Microtubes B3K Style 1) BA SQUEAK: gain 10, tone 50, level 100, bal 35 (does the CMOSey kinda' distortion necessary) 2) BASS DRIVE: bass 4, trebl -6, prese 0, gain 70, blend 75, level 100, mid -4 (fattens it up, cuts upper highs and further adds grunt, also take out more mids, we need lo-mids and hi-mids, not much mid-mids in my tone as the kind of pick playing I do -soft pick played hard, alla' Nolly, but less metal, more punk/HC/rock- it's a constant beat up of strings, pickups, whatever) 3) BA PEQ: freq1 120, q1 1, gain1 6, freq2 2.0khz, q2 1, gain2 5, level 110 (both enhances the "lo-mid" grunt and th grinding peak of the distortion) 4) 160 COMP: thrsh -20, ratio 10.0, gain 15, knee soft, level 80 (self explanatory) 5) ZNR: thrsh 15, detct gtrin, level 100 (pretty "binary" noise supression, several distortion stages make a lot of noise you don't want) Give it a try. It sounds really good with my precision bass 🥳

@@MUSICIANGeeK i had the B1-Four, B2-Four, and B6 i'm giving this a try for the AMP SIMS alone! for studio use in the FX Loop of my NUX MG-30, the single footswitch isn't a problem.
