I'm enrolled, and it's well worth the money. The way he presents the material is very intuitive, and I've been surprised how much I've already been able to decipher from the readings.

Wow, it feels like we got to see the wizard behind the curtain with that bare explanation. I, like so many others, wanted to take that class. If only one could pay for it in desire (then I would not come up short), alas, inability forces us to appear discretionary. But. If it were a matter of discretion it has been aptly demonstrated that taking such a class would infact be worth its cost! I had never diagramed a sentence as a solarsystem before, but it does seem logical. When I think too much about it, I am reminded that truth can be explained in any metaphor so the choice of ordering words in our minds by thinking about the order of the universe is brilliant. We all share knowledge of our planetary positions. It is sorta like talking to strangers about the weather. I am trying to say: You are a good teacher. Never stop teaching!

Thanks for posting! As someone who didn’t have the resources to spare this time around, it’s exciting to know that the class is exactly what I thought and I’m looking forward to catching it next time around!

I’m also in this class. As someone with no linguistic background the class is presented in a manner that teaches from the ground up. It’s not easy but not impossible. Dr. Crawford teaches the class assuming that students are not well versed with formal grammar. It’s broken down well with regular lessons each week. He’s available to answer questions and actively participates in the course. He’s very focused and committed to making sure each student feels like they’re getting what they paid for. By the way, I’m not affiliated with Dr. Crawford and paid full-price for my spot in the class. If you have the time, the funds and the desire I would strongly recommend this class.

If not already done, you might consider giving some account of the parts of language as is related to our Germanic language heritage. (Hope this makes sense, but some of us maybe lacking some sense of this. And it might give some help for beginning such of study of Old Norse.) Native American English with bits of High German - along side further bits of French, Latin, etc..
