hey guys is there anyway to just automate this depending on whos speaking it will replace spotlight

You can't automate it with the spotlight feature but it sounds like you just want to use the default speaker view option. If you don't spotlight anyone, Zoom will follow the next person who speaks. The drawback to this is that it'll only show one person at a time. For this video I made, it's ideally for folks who want to show multiple people on screen at one time (but not everyone, like producers or support teams) and to accomplish that you need to use the spotlight feature.

Question!!! When you are recording the zoom... will it also record the side by side spotlight if i have an interview series and i want both people in it?

Great question, yes if you record locally, you can capture multiple spotlights. If you have less than 3 ppl in the Zoom and you enabled Gallery View recording, then you can capture everyone by recording to the cloud (key is that you've enabled Gallery view so you see everyone on the call). Hope that helps!

Gallery View needs to be set for the recording first. For my team, webinars default to speaker view.

Logan do you know if you are using the Spotlight Feature and you are streaming zoom live to Workplace by Meta - will the spotlight feature show up and work? I am going to practice with my colleagues but was curious if you know the answer

Hi Deborah, the spotlight feature should work with streaming to Facebook. I haven't done it recently but highly recommend testing it with your colleagues to see if it works. Let me know!

I dont understand the pinning? Why Pin.. what is the benefit?
