Every great once and a while, I have a moment of fishy genius and this is the result. I promise that this Zoom Trick Worm bait modification WILL catch you more bass. It can also be used for stick baits or any soft plastics. Since bass are mainly sight feeders, the idea is to have the worm tail float up so that the bass can see your bait wiggling far a farther distance. So far, I've only tried it in the lake but I imagine that it would be pretty awesome in moving water like a creek or river as well. In testing, I've caught the 3 main species of black bass, Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass. Tight Lines Everyone!

whoa that is cool as hell i can use that for a lot of these ned rig baits i like to throw on but don’t actually stand up properly and some of those baits that look real sad on a drop shot that just droop down and don’t float proper

You're in Arkansas, aren't you? I love that state! Parts of it are just gorgeous and it gets overlooked by so many fishing channels. I was happy to see you there putting out great videos! Your sense of humor is infectious. You laugh at everything and that makes your videos enjoyable. Anyway, I just wanted to comment and say hi and I think I'll try this little trick.

@@PoleBenderFishing I wonder wether they will fart when a zander pokes the airbubble in them. (BTW, in the film in which you show them you also show your fingers after about a month of healing... So far, it looks like no nail will grow out. (I do think that tissue and skin damage will take longer than you think it will take, tho.)

Interesting I'll try it &. I've been trying to fish with plastic worms but I've not had much luck with it over the years & Dallas it's probably just me if something doesn't work for me after an hour or two & I'll try different methods I've seen over the years & I still think my second bigger bass Zi ever caught was just luck as it hadn't even reached the lake's floor yet whenever it inhaled it & ran but it was enough to get me hooked for a lifetime & yes The old saying's true your never too old to learn something new .

Im not sure who i got this from but if you break the toothpick in half, you can easily shove both pointed ends in the tail. I havent tried it myself but i wanted to add it to your conversation. Awesome video with good knowledge. Thanks ma'am

The Zoom Trick worm is by nature a buoyant worm so I think that if you use a smaller and lighter wire hook the worm will float tail up.

Then you won’t get it’s nose to tip / hit the bottom. That’s why she used the nail weight

About how much more do you now land bass compared without the toothpick trick?

I am using a 1/8 ounce bullet weight. Will just adding the toothpick accomplish the same thing?

How heavy a lead nail weight do use?
@PoleBenderFishing
@PoleBenderFishing Ай бұрын
I start off with a 1/8 oz and break off 1/3. Just enough to sink the nose and not block the hook gap.
