I took some pictures of it in California with the Galaxy Note 20 ultra. And all I can say is that I noticed the difference in quality. Looks very nice.

Iphones indeed have a better camera quality the thing you are asking for is good quality in long shots which wont be ever perfect cause the image looses detail , Samsung uses ai to fill in the details which have been lost , While is still creating a better camera zoom lns , In a fare maths An iphone picks the color best objectively .

On my iPhone, I had to turn the exposure all the way down before I took the picture. It worked pretty well, but compared to the s23, it looks like a toy camera

I used my s22 ultra to take it. I got some amazing shots with 10x, 30x, and 100x zoom. All of them came out great.

Where are all people saying that Samsung just puts an image over the moon? It doesn't put anything over the eclipse. It looks super detailed. Ofc it makes the image slightly more sharp but nothing more than that.

On the 100x zoom they do have an algorithm that over enhances the moon trying to look at the details the photo quality is good but not as good on the 100x as they make it seem

I just cut up another pair of glasses and taped it on my s23 ultra and I had the best pictures out of the people I know. I tried to figure out how to zoom to 40x on my friend's iphone 15 and just couldn't figure it out, idek if they can zoom that much
