It was never Pakistani history, it was Indian culture because the Mughals ruled before the existence of Pakistan or even the idea of two separate states on the basis of religion, it does not lie in our hands to separate history and culture; ones which were ironically inseparable. I'm saying this as a Pakistani, if only actors referred to historical context or were even aware of it before they vented about their own failures on a large platform.

I am sure most of the Pakistanis can’t even tell the difference between major Hindu festivals or their reasons. Do you even know that more than 70 percent of properties in Lahore were owned by Hindus/Sikhs before 1947. Punjab was called as “Hind ki chaadar” because all Sikh Gurus stopped forceful conversion of Hindus into Islam. You don’t even know any history.

1. Lahore was part of INDIA before partition 2. Pakistan's directors dont have budgets or brains and even enough licenses or screens 3. Kathak is literally considereda thing of shame there ... few great artists do dwell there but how would u bring that much of background dancers trained in Kathak ... I saw few clips of Pakistani kathak . It was hilarious 4. If locals would have commented such things it still would have made sense but the actors and influencial people of Pakistan commenting this is just hilarious....Whole nation needs some good quality education... 5. Lahore was once an integral part of undivided India and considered multicultural and cosmopolitan. Also, after the Mughals, it was the capital of the Sikh empire till 1849. The series is portrayed in the 1940s. And it has nothing to do with Islam, ideology or real history. It hasn't disrespected any religion. It's just a fiction written by Moin Baig and directed by SLB. Also, Pakistanis can always make a film/series on any of the Indian epics. It was Sir Richard Attenborough, a brit who directed Gandhi.

Heramandi name is used incorrectly by Sanjey. Hera was a prime minister of Lahore appointed by Ranjeet Sing. Hera made an area for grain business which was biggest business of that times. So that area got the name of Heramandi.

Im from lahore atinay baray baray set lagay hoya hain. Atinay baray baray mahal muna gar asia nahi hain wahan kam az kam real place par yeh movie shoot hoti to waqie period movie lagti. Woh jagah taxali gate khalti hy. Wahan par roads aur streets choti aur makan size main chotay lakin 3 seh 4 floors walay hain

No way. We have way better film actors in India. And SLB is an Indian Film maker. He shows the culture & heritage of INDIA in his periodic films/series be it any religion. And he tries to give full justice. And we Indians are very happy and proud of it. If Pakistan has good actors then I'm sure they can make their films no hate on that.

Indirectly you want your actors to get recognition on a global level. I mean if the director is Indian so why should he take Pakistani actors?? And I know even these Pakistani actors are dying to work in such big projects. It's not going to be any great collab cause not a single solo of Pakistani actors were hit in India. And about Pakistani dramas not all are good, infact many of them I watched were really boring. Now it's my opinion on dramas you might have different opinion.

Also it was not Muslims who used to live their, I was Hindu and Punjabis who used to live their. Also if he doesn't want to have that global recognition he automatically gets it just because of such a meticulous detailing of art and the archaic culture and styling.

Firstly as a viewer of pak show i can say that they hardly allow a romantic scene in there shows where will they tell a story of twaifs of lahore pemra nam ka organisation hai that bans even slightest of romance in dramas secondly its set up in 1920 when people where fighting against British not each other and Lahore was the part of same india where nawabs from overall India use to come for entertainment and leisure and they where from Lucknow,agra Hyderabad where urdu was a predominant language hence the dialogues where in urdu /hindustani language and not Punjabi yet there where carecters like satto, patto who spoke punjabi us time agra se lahore jane ke liye visa nahi lena padta tha gadi pakde nikal liye but what to say on on side Pakistani refuse to acknowledge themselves as South asians other side they want to call history of pre divided India as their own badi duvidha hai😂

Anyone can make movie of any country. Pakistani Directors are most welcome to make Mahabharat. They were also part of the history. Taxila has an important role in Indian history. Prejudieces have to be removed at both India and Pakistan we have to accept and embrace our common history and anyone has liberty to make what is art. Hope Governments both sides work on it and remove such biases.
