I have a theory that I'd like your opinion on- I think blackbeard is Kuma's son. and as Oda loves inversions Kuma worships the sun god and is good and his son blackbeard an inversion of him and is associated with the moon and is evil. Kuma is honest and blackbeard is "two faced". His jolly roger isn't a representative of three faces but rather just a classic jolly roger flanked by a two faced representation. Kuma is honest and blackbeard is a two faced liar. The two faced motif also reminds me of a certain two faced roman moon god, Janus. The antithesis of a sun god that Kuma represents. Blackbeard while being Kuma's son inherited the will of Rocks, the same way Luffy has inherited the will of Roger even though it Ace was Roger's son.
