I personally disagree with this. The anime Mihawk has a sense of superiority and looks down on others because he knows he's better. His gaze makes you feel like prey in the eyes of a hawk. How he talks to you is merely boasting of his own strength and superiority but he will give you respect and try to inspire you if he sees potential. "I'm not a beast who goes all out against a rabbit" is merely saying he's too strong and doesn't have to use his full strength. The live action one tries to hit a similar personality but does it the wrong way. He goes about his superiority by belittling others. It's not a "I'm too strong for you" it's a "You're too weak for me" sort of thing instead. "I don't hunt rabbits with a cannon" is basically just calling him a rabbit and saying that he's too weak for it. Then anime mihawk has a sternness and seriousness to him. Live action has a constant sass and pettiness about him. It's sort of like arriving at the same sort of destination but taking different routes and the routes sculpt the character. Is live action mihawk above you? Yes. But does he have a personality that makes you want to respect him and surpass him out of it? No.

Watching this fight in live action made me realize how extremely bloody most of Zoro's fights were in the manga. It annoyed me at first but then I realized if he lost that much blood in real life (like he did against Mihawk or Mr. 1 for example), he would definitely die. This fight was so great but my friend had a little nitpick i can't fault him for. Even though the fight isn't a challenge for him the fact Mihawk met someone like Zoro who is willing to die for his dream and is a swords man in the true sense made him excited and it would have been even more cool to have a small glimpse of emotion near the end. Other that that amazing.

Mihawk won't be around one day. And there's more swordsmen popping up every day wanting to prove themselves. Eventually one of them will kill Mihawk. If Vista is any indication there are people who can take Mihawk in a fight. They may lose but Mihawk would struggle. And I guess one day. Zoro will kill Mihawk and become the next Strongest Swordsman.

On my own opinion they should put more intense on these fight scene to make it more interesting to watch my point is giving such effect like windblows when crossing swords and sparks to determine force and friction for both fighters and also give more a dynamic perspective on the fight scenes so it will not be like a theater play to watch. Im not a director to say such words but normally this kind of quality is what we always see on a entry level action film nowadays.

Note: So, i only have a SMALL complaint with this. And it's the line deliveries from Zoro. I didn't watch the Neflix Show but in the Anime, Zoro was a lot more...direct and agressive. His voice was harsher and much more antagonistic. Instead of saying "I'm not rabbit." quietly, zoro said "That's enough making fun of me!" which is much more in-line with what Zoro's character is at this point in the story.

What I love about this series, is it doesn't drag on on what the full extent of someone's abilities are, they show off it a bit, try to win with it, and either win or lose in the end, this show shows off what they can do of course, but they do just the right amount for it, to not feel dragged on or a sense of, "is this guy finished pulling shit out of his ass!" Now I love one piece, not get me wrong, but unless you read the manga in an entire setting, or a whole volume at a time, then the story feels like it drags alot

@@trantho9891 Go watch the early episodes of the anime, Zoro actually gets desperate in this fight, which is a natural behavior. If the director and writers had any confidence this dude can deliver, they would have written this scene differently. However, the guy is a zombie. When the fight ends and he makes a promise to Luffy, it's ridiculous, the dude is not convincing at all. There's a difference between the overacting from Luffy, who is supposed to be a caricature anyway, compared to "human" characters such as Nami, Zoro, Usopp, etc.. none of them are truly great (I would say the Sanji actor delivered, he looked good, even if he didn't had much screen time).
