Piercing makes arrows go throgh things like it can go trough a player and then hit another player behind them. This is mainly used for shooting trough shields which isnt very useful on hoplite so on hoplite piercing is kinda pointless. Hope this helps (: Awesome video btw!

if it helps too , after shot u can re use the arrow but u have to go pick it up , so u dont really waste the arrow once u shoot someone

7:43 Piercing 4 is basically power 4 but better lol, It does more damage, And the arrow will go trough the player meaning you can pick it up after.. its op.

unless its a hoplite exclusive thing, piercing does not make a crossbow deal more damage, so the only benefit is that u can pick up arrows. crossbows dont deal much more damage than bows, so its maybe like having a power 2 bow that lets you pick up arrows
