okay, i think i actually made a pretty good point this time (TW// dark and childhood ruining) *fluttershy* : she was only shy the whole time since she's scared of a traumatic accident that completely ruined her and she doesn't want to take any risks *rarity* : she was always too self conscious about her looks, that's why she wears eyeshadow, makeup, and fake eyelashes. she was always trying to look beautiful so people would like her and she could avoid her insecurities *applejack* : she only wanted to take a break from all of her work and her stubbornness only led her to bad habits *rainbow dash* : she only had so much pride since she wanted to cover up her mistakes. having her friends always set her up in hoaxes only made it worse *pinkie pie* : pinkamena. i don't think i need to explain. *twilight sparkle* : she went through the hardest time as the princess of friendship. she always had to live up to the expectations of being a perfect pony. because of her immortalization, she had to live on to see each and every one of her friends dying, one at a time. she would be suicidally scarred from this. even after, if she made new friends, they would still end up all dying while she would suffer serious depression. she would now rather sin and go to hell than stay alive forever and never find a way to get out of the ever-lasting curse
