1987 Definitely Dinosaurs Toy Collection (Playskool), Zub Collection Club for January 2018
When I was a kid I loved dinosaurs, and some of my favorite dinosaur toys to play with were Definitely Dinosaurs by Playskool. Today I’m going to share my collection of Definitely Dinosaur action figures with you.
The first series of Definitely Dinosaurs was made in 1987. Each of the larger dinosaurs in the line came with a caveman, and I believe they all came with a paperback story book.
My dinosaur toy collection started with two figures from the first series. One of these was Deinonychus. Deinonychus came with a caveman named Druze.
My second figure was Triceratops. Triceratops came with a red saddle that seats two cavemen. Only one caveman was included though and his name is Brin.
Also from the first wave is Anatasaurus, a duck billed dinosaur. Anatasaurus came with a caveman named Zorg and a green saddle sling thing.
Next up up is Ankylosaurus, who I remember buying used from a flea market. Ankylosaurus’s caveman buddy is named Thrax.
I always thought Protoceratops is a pretty shade of green. Protoceratops came with a caveman named Zindar.
The final figure I own from the initial series of figures is Tyrannosaurus. Tyrannosaurus is unique because it is the only dinosaur that came with a cavewoman and her name is Lexa. There was also a blue saddle that fits in a hole on the back of Tyrannosaurus.
A second series of figures was released later in 1987. The first of these that I own is Polacanthus. Polacanthus did not come with a caveman.
The final figure I own from the second series is Ultrasaurus. Ultrasaurus is massive and over 20 inches tall. Ultrasaurus came with a two story saddle that plugs into a hole in its back and a caveman named Grel.
But that’s not all the definitely dinosaurs I have. In 1988 Wendy’s gave away dinosaurs in their Kids Meals including Anatasaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, and Apatosaurus.
Then in 1989 Wendy’s brought the dinosaurs back again but this time there were Apatosaurus but this time in pink, Ceratosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Ankylosaurus, Stegosaurus, and one I’m missing which is Triceratops but this time colored orange.
Special thanks to Dinopedia which helped tremendously with my research on this toy line. You can check out more information on Definitely Dinosaurs on their site at: dinopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Defin...

Want to show off one of your toy collections? Just make a video and share it with me and I will include it one of my collection playlists. That might help more people find your video, especially if you are a new or smaller channel.
My goal is to have a new toy collection video released around the beginning of each month. You’re invited to participate too by making your own video of a toy collection of your choice too. Then you can share the link to your video with me in either the comments of one of my videos or send it to me on social media (Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter: ZubbieCreations), and I’ll add your video to my playlist. The idea is if people stop by to watch my toy collection video, they’ll check your video and others too since they will be in the playlist.
The goal of this project is get people watching new content, so please do not submit any videos created before December 1, 2017 for the January playlist.
If you decide to create your own video, I’ll give you the choice of having me including it in this month playlist or the next month’s playlist.
Some other things to keep in mind:
1. Everyone is welcome to join. I don’t care how many subscribers you have. If you don’t have any subscribers at all, that’s fine too because we all start from zero.
2. This is a no stress project. Feel free to join in or drop out at any time. You can participate for your choice of as many months as you want or just one month.
3. You can talk about any toy/figure/doll collection of your choice.
4. Your collection doesn’t have to include figures from the same toy line. For example, I’m considering making a video about various bird toys I have from various manufacturers.
5. The size of your collection doesn’t matter. What matters is you enjoy it, so if you only want to talk about 3 figures/toys/dolls, that’s cool too!
Feel free to ask me any questions in a comment or a message on social media. (Zubbie’s Social Media Info: Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter: @ZubbieCreations)
