I haven't played wow in a bit but i mained healer and whenever a dps would keep pulling instead of letting the tank do his job usually me and the tank let him die and run back as we kept clearing

dear dps, tanks want to control the pulls for two reasons. first there's this thing called initial threat. second when everyone pulls freely, the mobs go in every which direction, which causes the tank to spam every button they can to gather and stack the mobs. yes i agree some tanks have power trips but sometimes it just a simple request :)

Xaryu doesnt know what its like to be a tank with all these idiots in the game. Its not like we want to be overly controlling. We just learned the hard way that when a dps pulls, things goes sideway.

They only get better xar!

I just started a Warrior Tank and in Rage Fire Chasm a shamen kept pulling so I toxically told him if he keeps pulling I'm leaving. He called me a bunch of slurs and the r-word so I immediately left. I was top dps as well.

at 14:14 i disagree (at least for myself) I leveled arms warrior and was many times forced to tank. Feeling bad for having the healer oom so often, i was annoyed when people would pull left and right, cause aggro sucks in WoW classic and i didnt really have AoE tools to get the mobs on me, i would end up sunder armor everyting to make them stick. Provided i had rage. Noone else cared, but if we were to die, guess who is to blame for losing aggro? I wasnt flaming people, i just hated my life and everyone else around me :P

nah xar, dps pulling before the tank makes both the tank and healers job harder. you always have this take on tanks, if you have so much to say about tanks then you should try tanking with pugs (not your viewers)

I love tanking because I know I will do smart pulls and make sure everyone has a smooth run because of it. If a dps who does next to no damage starts complaining about pretty much nothing, and his girlfriend supports him (shocker), I will ignore them and pull when the healer is full on mana and carry on. If the dps messes up pulls consistently, I will warn them after asking them about my tanking so far because, apparently, it´s so bad the dps feels the need to "help" me do so. If it continues then (and I got a macro for this) I will explain why I´m the tank and why I´m now leaving. Thank you and go fuck yourselves for ruining my fun so successfully :) . I totally get the view folks have on tanks being controlling or even toxic. We have a specific way of doing things and when people step on our toes...oh boy, is it fun. Which is why we are doing it, we think it is fun to tank. We play the game because we want to have fun like literally every other player. Yep, I had to get this on "paper" because some people just do not get game mechanics. That is essentially fine but if you ignore the advice/warnings of more experienced players all the time then, to quote Barney, "you´re a degenerate moron" x) . Xaryu, soz for the rant. Good video as per usual :D .

It's not the first time you shit talk about tanks ego - go play a tank (for real) with a bunch of dps that keep pulling before you, keep pulling extra packs etc - generally doing everything to make you role harder - and then say "tank's shit" after wipe. Do that with a smile on your face and unwavered positive attitude and we can talk about "tank's crazy-ass ego's". Other than that - sit back, spam your 1-button rotation and let tanks do their job, eh? Yeah, I main a tank, duh ...

Man tanks are doing the job they dont want to do but have to do... all warriors wanna be pumpers. In our minds you already owe us a bit of selflessness from the getgo.

The problem with being a tank and others pulling is that the aggros is split between multible targets which makes it harder to tank, kite and heal (most of the time). In 99% of situations its just better to group the enemys up and nuke them down. Also.. the tank and healer should decide how much can be pulled becasue they know how much they can tank, the DPS have literally no say in this.
