You should mention that there are trash mobs before this boss called Gurubashi Axe Throwers. They have an ability called Axe Flurry, which stuns you every time it hits you, so if you pulled too many of them, you'll be stunlocked to death.

Just a question since I've heard different statements from different people: for the mount to drop, do you need to FIRST kill the raptor and then the boss or IGNORE the raptor and kill the boss first?

Hello there,my guess is it does not matter. You need to kill both for encounter to end,I kill raptor first.
