OH MY GOSH!!!!!Who know there was a video for almost everything on KZfaq. I put the subject and problem in the search box and could not believe my eyes when this came up. After much saying of bad words and unbelief at how this got off in the first place, I found this video. Haven't tried yet but it feels better just knowing I am not the only out there who can't make holiday cookies because I can't get my cookie press back together. Even if I can't get it back right, many many many thanks for taking the time to make this video.

This video ROCKS! The press comes apart easily, but I struggle each year (often 10 to 15 min) because I can't remember or figure out the necessary trick. Now, I followed along and got mine together in 30 seconds. **Don't use an alternate vid where they use a screwdriver and pliers to complete disassemble a press, unless that's really what you need to do!

omg, you did it the hard way. You could have just pulled off the circular plunger plate and then pulled the Rod out and then the Ring Cap slides over the whole thing with ease. You then slide the Rod back through the hole and push the plunger disc back on. done!

I've been trying for over 3 hours and I can't get the last part (the black surface that holds the lever) to level up and fit in the ring which screws onto the barrel. I've literally taken it apart - unscrewed top and bottom... It's driving me made - I've lost my patience! It's brand new, or else I would've thrown it away! I wish the idiots who prepared the manual would specify not to remove the lever when washing. Thanks for your video anyway! Mine isn't the same brand as yours, it's a KEFU, but it works the same...
