Hay mate, I am a patriotic Brit but I'm afraid a lot of what you are saying simply isn't true. All of the enemies you mention were defeated by us alongisde our coalition partners in long wars that we would never have won alone. As for the Zulus I think they deserve massive respect for battling an enemy with vastly superior firepower. Our historical enemies deserve credit and should be respected.

@@curtc2194 The debacle of Dunkirk was caused the capitulation of Belgium and inept old French generals in their 80s who used antiquated communication systems ( runners and motorcycles not telephones ) it donkeys being led by clowns who had no idea what was happening and relying on the Maginot line ( a white elephant against Blitzkreig) to save them and ruling out the Ardennes as a possible invasion point . We alone extricated ourselves from the mess which was not of our making, saving 338,000 troops , including French soldiers . The reason Hitler stopped at that point when he thought he had us bottled up is because he hoped to do a deal with us to help him to defeat Russia to which he was told to go screw himself . We then fought the the " The battle of Britain " on our own and beat him .I didn't see Uncle Sam riding to the rescue for the two years we fought alone , and had it not been for Pearl Harbour wouldn't have. America was quite happy to sit back with their isolationist stance and supply the bullets for other people to fire while making lots of lovely dollars.As regards WW 1 you only fought in it for 6 weeks at the end of 1918 are you claiming that you won that for us as well ? I would draw your attention to the Korean War where British Royal Marines extricated your G.I.s (who had dropped their weapons and run away ) from the Chinese, and The Black Watch( a Scottish regiment ) who retook the hill and held it against overwhelming odds .Vietnam , another fine mess , even with all your military might you couldn't defeat a lot of peasant farmers , another mess you had to extricate yourself from .Finally , speaking of messes Tehran 1979 what a glorious mess you made of that , and right after in 1980 the S.A.S.sucessfully liberated the Iranian embassy, which Britain offered to loan you , and you declined saying our boys can do the job we don't need your help --- ye right . As an American you should be the last one to talk about getting in and out of messes , your country hasn't won a war yet on it's own, maybe you should have got John Wayne to give you a hand .Incidentally were you aware that the American Military pays Hollywood millions of dollars a year to paint them in the best possible light showing how heroic they are to reassure the gullible American public how safe they are ,so safe the in 1960 and 1961 Britains Vulcan bombers penetrated America's air defences twice in war games and nuked you twice . It's a matter of public record which the military buried until 2010 , look it up . Rule Britannia .🇬🇧

It's a pity the brits were not in Vietnam with you, it might have ended better. The brits handled a communist insurgency perfectly in the Malayan Emergency in the 50s, it appears that nobody in the American military were awake at the time.

The British Empire recovered from the independence of the 13 colonies very quickly. It reached its height over a century afterwards. The War of 1812 (which the Americans essentially lost) is a forgotten border spat in Britain, overshadowed by the victory over Napoleon. The world didn't revolve around America until the 1940s, you know 🙂

It's an amazing reflection on how bad the American education system is that you still class the War of 1812 as a victory. Being very generous to the US, it was a draw, more a British victory if anything. America started it and got zero out of it.

The ancestry of the Americans who fought for independence was..British! The French involvement effectively bankrupted France and created the great republican Napoleon (who was crowned king of France and made his brother King of Spain. Thankfully, the Americans came to his aid and he won the battle of Waterloo according to American history books. Thankfully the US will soon be ruled by BLM, the only true Americans!
