i got a GMK84. i disassembled, punched out the holes per your suggestions and installed really tight fitting leobog graywood v4's while supporting the pcb from behind with my fingers. a couple keys took some tinkering, but reassembled and everything worked fine. for this situation, i agree that punching out the holes first is key.

Nice review as always my friend! It´s too bad that they added that light blue color accent to the board. It´s going to look strange with certain color keycaps. That might stop some people from getting it. I usually know what color keycaps I´m going to use on a board when I buy it. How do you like the Kang Whites? I think it´s a nice inexpensive linear switch with a nice sound. I use it on two of my boards. Pura vida!

Amazing review as usual! Do you know what is the different between this one and the GMK87? Because I was thinking about getting the GMK87. I am confussed now hahaha It looks like the GMK87 has VIA support and a screen. It has no media controls though

Yes, the GMK87 has a screen and knob with VIA and South facing LEDs, this one does not have a screen, is North facing and uses closed source Windows only software. Decisions, decisions. Cheers!

@@MechKeyboards I don't know if I will actually use VIA as I have never used it before. As for the north facing, what's the difference between north and south in keyboars? You also mentioned this one is listed for gaming which is something I liked as I game a lot. Also, I use windows so it won't be an issue for the closed source

@@souL_TV this one is categorized as gaming because of it's high polling rate, but most keyboards now a days have higher polling rate (1000Hz). North facing used to be an issue with Cherry profile keycaps and the molding shape of switches which would cause interference, but most switches have updated molds or are long pole which eliminates any issues. North facing is more popular for shine through keycaps as South facing can only shine through the legends on side/front shine through keys.
