In this video you will learn how to safely drive in a traffic circle. Driving instructor Jacqueline will go through:
-Different types of traffic circles
-How to navigate a circle
-How to enter and exit a traffic circle
-How to use your turn signals in a roundabout
Left & right turns
-Going straight ahead
-Some general rules + a lot of useful tips!
A roundabout, also known as a traffic circle, consists of a central island and one or more lines of traffic that travel in the same direction. Always keep right of the central island.
When using a roundabout, you will need to enter depending on where you want to exit, and it’s important that you know what you want to do before entering the roundabout. You have 4 different exit points in nearly every roundabout: exiting to the right, to the left, straight ahead, or back the way you came.
If you're learning how to drive and want to be 100% sure to pass your written test and road test, you can take permit practice tests using the links below. Remember, the more knowledge you have, the easier it is to pass BOTH of your DMV exams:

Yield and stop in any round about is pretty much an accident to happen in my opinion. Here in Qatar whether one, two or three lanes round about, you should stop/slow down before entering because cars that are already inside the circle have the right of way. Inner lane should always be used by traffic going left or U turn. Middle straight or left and right straight or right.

In most of New England, "rotary" is the term, short for "rotary junction". 99% of them give the right-of-way to people already in the rotary, but there are some here and there where the traffic _entering_ the rotary actually has the right-of-way, so you have to keep watch of the signs to be sure which type you're at. They're also marked differently than the ones in your video. When you're _in_ the rotary, a straight ahead arrow indicates that the lane goes to the next exit, whereas they use a _left_ arrow to indicate that the lane can continue around the rotary. It's a little bit different, but if you think about it, you're steering left to continue around, and more or less straightening out to take an exit, so it makes sense. When you're _approaching_ the rotary, the signs and arrow markings are taking the entire thing into account so that you can choose the correct lane and not need to change lanes once you're in the rotary. You can see an example of a pretty standard layout for a New England rotary here: goo.gl/maps/SGRXhjG6928PnXUc6
