*Your 24mm GM Lens on Your ZV-E1, I'm trying to find an equivalent in an APS-C Lens. I've already got the 11mm and Sigma 16mm. But I do Talking head videos like this and I wanted a 2nd lens from my Sigma 16mm and Advice?*

Hi Mark, I got a question for you. My ZV -E10 recently started to give me issues when I connect it to my laptop for zoom. Laptop says devices is not recognized. I researched the issue and removed the accu for 1 min and it worked again. Next zoom meeting same thing but this time I had to remove it a couple of times before it worked. Do you know how I can avoid this from happening? Your help is highly appreciated as you know way more than the Sony customer service 😀 ty

Love my ZV-E10. The only thing that would tempt me to upgrade to a Mark II is if it added an EVF, and we all know they won't do that. So the ZV-E10 will be perfectly good enough for me for several years to come. If I were to "upgrade" it would be to the A6700 because EVF's are valuable to me, but I would still need to keep the ZV-E10 for the Product Showcase.

I got my Doug about a year and a half ago or so and have never looked back. Have used him for just about everything from travel photos in Argentina to sports videography and it has never let me down. i say, if you are a casual to semi-pro shooter and want to pick one up, don't wait, grab yourself a doug and an apple juice and have yourself a party! You won't regret it. By the time the new one comes you could already have a full kit, some lenses, and years worth of photos and videos. Can always trade in later if you just need to have the latest and greatest. Can't replace the lost time shooting!

I'm little confused between a6700 and zve10 ii Can you suggest me, as it's gonna be my first mirrorless camera after a dslr I need to shoot videos and pics too I need to use it as webcam too sometimes only For high quality zoom sessions

@@alphatribe01 if you want to keep an EVF, 10 bit color and in-body stabilization the a6700 will be fine. But if you don't care about having those things the ZVE10 is more than capable of doing both pictures and video at 1/3 of the cost in my opinion.

I'm currently looking to buy a camera, but I'm waiting for the release of the ZV-E10 Mark 2. If it has equally good autofocus, produces equally beautiful images, and is under $1000, then I'll be happy. I don't need a viewfinder or anything; I'd rather invest that money in a lens.

10 bit + 4K60 + FZ100 + around the same price as Mark 1 will make it popular again in entry level, without cannibalizing on upper level cameras, because most of the pros and semi pros don't want to deal with poor heat management and lack of IBIS anyway. But for starters and people who know exactly how to deal with it's limitations or as B-camera for pros it will work great again! P.S. And if the new sensor won't be so bad at rolling shutter as current, then I could live without IBIS.

Going to buy the zv-e10 soon, I can afford much more expensive cameras, but I don't see any reason buying any other Sony camera for video, although a7s3 is a beast, but 5 times more expensive and might be an overkill for most of us. I'd rather spend this amount of money on lights, pc upgrade, audio, gimbal and other accessories which i'll be able to use in the future.

i was a nikor D5300 hobbiest guy ,ZV E10 is simply superb ,i brought my second one just yeaterday ,i waited a year for 6700 to come out ,but the overheating was a dealbreaker ,so i got a secon ZVE10 and will wait for something else before i have to sell one of them

I won't miss IBIS, gyro stabilize is so good, there's an open source script to just pull the data and stabilize all the footage, my workflow is about 10 minutes I have fully stabilized footage, no catalyst browse

I'd rather they give 4k/120 that overheats in 5 minutes, than not. Can do a lot in 5 minutes. I'm lenient with companies that are pushing the bounds of physics with what they can achieve, pushing lots of pixels makes heat that's gotta go somewhere

I have (and had) the a5100, a6300,a6400, and just got the fx30. Imo i still dont see where the zv-e10, the 6400, the 6600, the all fit in. Imo if you're primarily doing video just shell out and get the fx30. If also doing pictures get the 6700. I personally wouldn't mess around with any of the others. If sony came out with these models in 2017 when everyone was vlogging it would have made more sense. I love the fx30. I like the apcs since i do a lot of macro photography and video. Anyway love your videos. Appreciate the info 👍

I think the best upgrade in that price range would be the A7C II, but that’s a bit over 2k. so the A7C original with a nice lens like the sigma 28-70 is probably the way to go.

Kind of loved the ‘feel’ of the old studio! Somewhat more of ‘down to earth Mark’ vs the new Downtown Mark. Both good! It looks like the new ZV E10 ii will be a very nice upgrade!

there will likely be an anti-flicker function, but with mixed lighting you probably still will have issues. It is a complaint with the ZV-E1

I think the mkII would have a medium format sensor, global shutter, ibis, 8k 14 bit 4:4:4 240fps in prores raw internal recording. It would be a vlogging beast as it maintain its size and price It still won't have an evf though

I think Mk. II will have 4K120, and it will overheat quite easily in that mode, but that wouldn't be a problem since it's only used for short slow-mo clips anyway and no one shoots for hours in it.

If the ZV-E10ii gets the same sensor as the a6700/FX30 along with 4K 10-bit 422, it would make it a good b-cam for those two cameras. And considering that the ZV-E10 is hundreds of dollars cheaper, it would make the choice a no-brainer. But, what features will Sony leave out of the ZV-E10ii so that it doesn't step on the sales of the a6700 and FX30?

Hey mark, I’m upgrading to a a full frame sensor from my little zve10, I’m getting a a7iv and already own a sigma 24-70 art, I was thinking on the second FF Lens to be a 85mm Sigma art, for portrait seeing I own the 24-70 for general purpose and should cover, I’m on the beginning of my photography journey, seeing I had a few gigs, but I’m growing for sure and booking more jobs, is there any recommendations on lens instead of the 85? I watched your video on budged lenses but I’m looking for something mid high quality seeing I don’t plan to upgrade for a couple years only to gm II when they complete the set and I’m more established, thank you so much for the good work you put on the videos

My guess: same sensor as fx30/a6700 because they are mass produced, but cheaper electronics as they can be sourced from elsewhere. So 10-bit 422 but not 120fps. I just hope 24fps 10bit doesn't overheat.

I'm guessing it still won't have IBIS but if they somehow add a fan to that thing with having the Z Battery I am sold on the Mark II. I just need that same form factor, same 26MP sensor and a fan. There has to be a slight difference in lower quality so that it doesn't compete with the a6700.

I want 2 things on the new zv e10 EvF- I know that line don’t have it Ibis- please! I can live with the bad battery 🪫. Keep it small, I don’t want a A6700

I think dynamic steady shot is broken in ZvE1. It seemed to work so well. Now I see every footstep shake. I updated firmware to 1.02. Can steady shot somehow break? It crops in still, but shaky.

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I figured it out! Steady shot adjust was on manual, 50 mm. I set it to auto, and holy crap! I can walk normally and run. Gimbal like. I can’t believe this. Maybe this will help someone one day.

I partially agree with you concerning the specs. But I don’t think they will put 10bit in the camera. And I don’t think they’re gonna give 4K60. But if they do, it’ll probably be some kind of limit to recording to prevent “overheating.” I know that more of a canon thing, lol. But every company borrows the canon cripple hammer from time to time. 😂

they’ll need 10-bit to compete with Fuji and Panasonic for the lower budget I think. 10-bit is even in phones and action cams now. it would be a mistake in my opinion

@@Mathew-vlogs They still have IBIS, better heat management, better form factor with buttons. And for photo you still have to get the 6700.

thinking about it having the updated sensor and updated specs I can see easily costing uo to 1000-1200 as the a6700 is just 1400, and that would be fine in my opinion, a6700 is a beast of a camera, so a ZV version would be amazing for the great audio recording, even if it doesnt have 4k 120, just 60fps, but still with the Z battery that would be enough, please sony no more W batteries

I learn that everytime there is an upgrade thereis huge price increment, I learn that when I was waiting to upgrade from A73 to A74. personally I will stick to my zve10 and focus on creating content 😉

no - because without an EVF - once off - there would be no way to get it back on. But you can reduce the screen brightness to very low

Interesting. I only have two complaints about the ZV-E10: 1. Does not support S-Cinetone 2. Occasionally overheats Other than these, it's an almost perfect camera - specially when it comes to price

When does it overheat for you? You have internal temp set to high, on a tripod with the screen open? Mine has never even turned on the overheat warning so I’m curious!!

@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I have a studio desk with 4 sony Ze10s for 4 angles. The one in the Tele-Prompter overheats even with the screen open, temp on high and using a genuine Sony dump battery for power. But I still love it

@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Yes, I always set temp to high :) It happened several times on the dash of my car. You may say it is a kind of extreme situation. I tested many cameras, but it only happened with the Action-cams and ZV-E10. Never happened with any other mirrorless camera.

The Zv-E10 is good but its rolling shutter kind of sucks, and im willing to record many videos in my camera, so with the problem of rolling shutter its quite confusing what to buy in this budget

get 30mm f/1.4 dc dn (or 56mm), but the higher focal length would compress depth more, and faces would end up wider
