@@bestcommentator_ It's an english idiom. The three things are supposed to be certainties. Death and taxes are a certainty in life, and the comment is meant to say that Daniil talking about surfaces is also certain.

I totally misunderstood it, thought @Madferit is talking about this BS, that Russian should not play tennis at all cause of war & killings in Ukraine & them paying taxes in Russia, although literally 90% of Russian players who is in top- 100 ATP & WTA doesn't live there for many years.

It's a good kid, but his level of english is terrible and what he says is banal and boring. Sometimes I'm surprise that tennis players are so basic, but not everybody can be a math genius or chess master like Medvedev, right?
