A ZX Spectrum video output ranges from the ridiculous but authentic RF, to the mostly sublime if you're lucky enough to have a Harlequin or a 128k +2A or 3 RGB. The most common these days being good old composite video. Well if you want the best on a modern screen this device could be the answer to your prayers.

Pretty nice kit. One improvement would be including an adaptor to full size HDMI, builtin inside the case.

i must dig my 48k spectrum out of the loft.i just emulate at the moment as the picture is so much on an lcd screen

You might have a bit of work to do with an old original. Keyboard membrane probably gone, some of the caps will be marginal. But the feel of playing those old favourites on the real thing cant be beaten, and this gives a perfect, clear digital picture. Magic.

even though i've got a WHSMith cassette deck like that.. i still drool when i see others :) I'm surprised no one has combined the divmmc with the zxhd. I know it sounds a bit dull, but i'd like to see how you cut the foam filler in those flight cases.

I feel the same way about that deck! The foam is the stuff that already has lots of squares lasered into it, you just pull out the ones you want. I will probably do a short second channel video about this when I do the third flight case.

I was going to ask if the DivMMC Future works with this, but since I actually watched to the end of the video, I already know the answer to that 😃. But what about video capture, have you gotten it to work?

@@MoreFunMakingIt Please let me know if you get it working. I can't use my DivMMC Future with my Spectra (RGB output) without potentially shorting the expansion port using one of those wobbly splitters, or whatever you call them 😅

Sadly, due to extreme greed and a rather big belly to fill, the Stroopwafel did not make it past the front doormat.

@@MoreFunMakingIt It seams to have become the universal core for thing2hdmi projects. He originally created with just the BBC micro in mind, then started adding support for more stuff, then another group created and amiga hdmi board using it, and it just seams to exploded from there.
