Thanks for all the tips. You know, a small table or portable work surface would be useful so you don't end up dragging grit off the floor into that lovely motor of yours.

If you drop something in the oil pan, before dropping the oil pan etc try and see if you can get a magnet in there to fish it out ...some parts aren't magnetic but I've found over the years that a lot of them are. Could possibly save a lot of work/hassle..

Looking at getting this done. Bought the plate, not convinced many shops know why this needs doing and therefore won't have done any.

Bro. I finally got around to doing this and I dropped the damn pin. Stuck a magnet all in there. Nothing.. Now I gotta drop the damn pan. 🤦‍♂️

That's sucks but gives you a chance to pull the pickup and clean it.

2:25 can you explain a little.. What it is you're doing here exactly..

The inner sleeve is what aligns the clutch basket up and keeps everything sound. The basket cannot just pull straight out because it’ll hit the case and won’t come out. The basket gear has spring tension on half of it and If you pull the clutch basket out and don’t remove the sleeve first then you will struggle trying to push the basket back on to remove the sleeve. Basically the sleeve allows the movement to gain clearance to remove the basket.

@@DRKKNTRACING OK. Got ya on that part.. But as far as the magnet? You were just trying to pull it out a bit to get a grip on it?

Why not the oil pump gear?

With only having a cut oil pan you run risk of sucking the pan dry with oil gear, plate, and relief valve. Its fine if you have a flat pan.

Its recommend on both gens. I know the gen 2 had some oiling upgrades but not sure to what existent
