Great video mate, I think this about captured pretty much everything I could've hoped to be said, minus a few exceptions. As the organizer, I'd like to provide clarity on a few details! First up, mc championships. I just wanna get it out of the way that MCC was and is WAY better than Minecraft Saturdays ever could've been. My interpretation of the minigame format was to just take the same format and make it better. They changed it wildly in a lot of really cool ways, and it ended up 100x more creative and much less stressful, as techno put it, to play. I have nothing but love for the organizers of that event, and there was never any envy or bitterness on my part toward it. I'd also like to say as a disclaimer that the biggest issue with MCS in every way was that it was someone else's format. I'm not very proud of MCS in full transparency. I'd even go as far as to say it's one of my least favorite events I've organized - and I've been doing them since 2013. Nothing sucks worse than considering yourself a creative person, and then realizing you've stolen ideas. Say what you like about Keemstar, but for what it's worth I do feel bad for effectively taking his intellectual property. But in other news, my new event should be really dope. It's a concept I thought about for years, and finally got started working on back in January, and now it's set to be the biggest thing anyone in this community has ever done. Really excited for it. Anyway, if anyone has any questions for me, I'll be replying to comments here. Feel free to ask stuff.

It was announced the same day that final tweet from the MCS twitter was posted (the one that announced MCS was ending). It happened on the discord (Where pikaclicks answered questions from fans in a massive VC) and right now is confirmed to be a Hunger games tournament with over 300 players playing (Wow).

The real reason mc Saturday's closed down is because the sponsors pulled out. Look at how the prize pool and sponsorships diminished towards the later weeks. Now it's possible that the organisers just told the sponsors ahead of time that they would be shutting down, but the fact that it happened so suddenly and out of nowhere makes me think otherwise. Mc Saturday's failed cause it was boring and nobody watched it compared to its hype. The fact that mc Monday went months without really losing most of its popularity is INSANE

i really like the people behind mcsaturdays. they seemed to have a lot of respect for the players and audience, as well as a lot of integrity. it’s too bad it couldn’t last longer. i really loved watching these mc tournaments, that coming from someone who normally isn’t a fan of watching full streams and vods. i hope mc champions lasts, or maybe mcmondays comes back and adapts some of the practices that mcsaturdays. all in all, this was a very well researched video, it certainly made me miss those old mc tournaments.

what i'm happy about mc saturday is the fact that it accept not limited youtuber/twitch streamer ,like it accept low view youtuber or even other country youtuber (guep,theguille the french youtuber i love) and the minigame are pretty cool too

I have a feeling the same is gonna happen to Minecraft Championships. As Zyphon said, nothing lasts forever. And these championships do seem to take a lot to organize.

All I can think about when I hear Minecraft Saturday is skipthetutorial and Failboat's running Ninja gag.

I kinda want a type of Minecraft Monday but no teams, what I mean by this is for example: dantdm vs Skeppy, they fight in some random minigame and the winner moves on to the next round while the other is eliminated, maybe the final 10 will have to survive the eliminated for a certain amount of time or a special gamemode and the final 4 will fight in one gamemode, something like that. Edit: and instead of weekly it would be yearly, then the tournaments would be a bit better since they have time

Having a few great players with a few occasional surprises actually made the competition better for mc Mondays, since the rivalry is stronger. Mc Saturdays didnt have this. Everybody was too friendly and there were too many contenders. How can you gaina following if a different person wins every week?

One of the reasons mc Saturdays failed was because their gamemodes lacked variety and because they had too many competitors (36 max) so there couldn't really develop the narratives behind the participants. Everybody was bland. Minecraft isn't a great esport, so it's the stories that made mcm brilliant.

Only thing wrong with this video is that pete lied about it being because keemstars actions, it was that he couldnt find a team
