Paula in her youth was not only funny but quite attractive.

I am a fan and have been for years. I am a fan of Darrell Hannah also and she is a component actress in my book. I often wonder if Paula Poundstone secured permission from Darrell Hannah to tease her or since she is a public person she can't complain effectively to get the teasing to stop.

It's funny because I watched steel magnolias not too long ago, and I thought Daryl hannah sort of paled in comparison to the other actress'. Then again, she was playing a very specific role.

I watched an interview with Paula and she said she doesn't believe in using phones or iPads to read or watch things. She said it burns your brain. Well I don't know that I want to waste my brain on watching her anymore. This is why she went a million dollars in debt. She blew off her audience and nobody wanted to watch her. Brilliant. I love Paula's work but I don't want to burn my brain on her.

paula tells a great story about this, i think it was her first cable special and hbo didn't want her to interact with the audience, paula said she didn't fight for much but really insisted on it, and hbo relented. her gasp at how the ladies mother was injured was real, this was exactly the type of thing hbo was worried about, but notice how paula spun all of it brilliantly, and had the audience howling at this very tragic event.
