Alessandro Sibilio today ran 48.25 European Leading (at the moment) and 7th right now in the world. He is in constant progression, as expected, even though it’s not taken for granted that every single athlete throw the year runs faster in each race. Anyway I really look up to a medal for him, maybe a bronze at Paris! Peace

we need Warholm to be fit and get a decent start with decent weather conditions, after that we need Dos Santos and Benjamin there to make it a fight cos lets not forget Benjamin was pushing in that World Record, we get that perfect storm and not only can i see the record dropping i can even see Benjamin and maybe even Dos Santos dipping under 46s as well, either way its gonna be fun to watch

I've watched Olympics, World and National Athletics since Rome in 1960 I believe it was and I've NEVER EVER known a time when Russia didn't cheat, use drugs or whatever to win races, competitions, anything at all. They have always LIED, DENIED and played the West - East card. Other countries, Russian Satellites like Bulgaria, East Germany joined.

I don't think they'll get close to the WR. They'll break it. And it might be several of them that break it. Possibly all 3. When you run your season opener within 1 second of the WR, that's VERY impressive.

Why would you want to police what people say on the internet? lol You need to differentiate between the people that say that Kipchoge killed Kiptum and the people that say they're going to burn down his place.

All these people saying Bolt's 9.58s record will not be broken for a very long time SO CONFIDENTLY, as if there is no chance a 17 year old right now breaks the record in like 4-5 years. I'm not saying it's either easy or probable, but if Bolt did it, the next one to surpass him could be anyone anywhere anytime. I would be (emotionally) surprised if it gets broken in a few years, but the math checks out, so we're just all collectively and, more importantly, consciously pretend it's impossible.

As a former track athlete I find this pricing is going to have a negative effect on a sport that needs more exposure in the United States not less. I guess I will have to wait and catch the results on You Tube instead of being able to watch it live.

Mens 400mH, Womens 400mH and Womens 400m Freestyle are the 3 must watch events in the Olympics this year. I don't see sub 46 at the Olympics this year for the mens 400mH. But you will need 46.5 to win a medal.

He runs faster with hurdles than in the regular distance without hurdles. And he ain't even black.
@Luca_._16 сағат бұрын
400m distance is much aerobic work and ethnical differences don’t play a role in that. Also the technical part isn’t black-dominant as any type of athlete, ethnically speaking, can reach the same level of technicality in the hurdles. The power and strength necessary in order to perform an Olympic level performance over 400MHs is not that much for athletes of West-African origins to always beat white-european (or caucasians) athletes.

Warholm is over the hurdle. He is watched like a hawk and they would DQ him in a heartbeat. The fact is Warholm has ZERO wasted motion. Warholm runs 400m not 402 or 403 like Dos Santos or Benjamin.

Absolutely ridiculous accusations, Kipchoge has always shown excellent sportsmanship, and his philosophy is to inspire the world, why would he risk everything now that he's almost 40 and could retire soon
@robinbauer19754 күн бұрын
Fun fact warholm is the only white sprinter who is a goat in a running event below the 10.000m In fact in every running event a black person is the greatest from the 100m over hurdlrs up to the marathon and now this guy destroys talents like Benjamin and Dos Santos left and right 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴
@theccft4 күн бұрын
Jakob Ingebrigtsen is also up there, and he's from Norway as well
@kimaboe3 күн бұрын
@@theccft Ingebrigtsen isn't the goat though, the records are held by others and he's lost two world championships. He has potential to take records at middle-distance, and to win titles at pretty much any distance up to the half marathon, but he needs to actually do it in order to be the GOAT at any given event. Warholm has broken the 400m Hurdles world record twice, has one Olympic and three world championship golds in three attempts, and has 9 out of the top 25 times. He also won the U23 World Championship in 2017, the same year he won the senior title, only about a year after deciding to specialise in the event instead of doing the decathlon. He has done this in spite of strong competition, two of which have also beaten the long standing world record time set by Kevin Young.

Warholm said the wind condition was a little tricky after the race - maybe he could have beaten his old pb if the condition was good. When he ran 300 (33.26) in 2021 he ran 45.94 in OL.
