How about re-doing the whole video from scratch? The video of the actual soldering the jack is soooo out of focus that not anyone of us can see what you're doing, we can't even tell that it is a Pure Tone jack or not. Don't you check your videos after you shoot them? The focus is on your hair on your arms, not on the actual jack. If you don't posses a camera that can shoot sharp close up pics then just don't put anything out then... one of the worst I've seen i a while. There are others that are better. Or someone holding the camera has been smoking something, and I don't want to know what that is... C'mon ffs.

I have one question. When you switch to a preset and you just want to reduce the delay a little bit or raise the mod effect. Do you get any visual representation of the actual settings of the effect? The knobs can't give you that, because they still show the position of the last sound you edited. As soon as you start turning any effect knob the LED ring should show the actual knob position and not the saved preset position? I think that way its really difficult to just change a preset sound while playing, because you have to remember the effect settings of each preset.
@LearningCurveGuitar2 ай бұрын
Yes, the ring around the center knob shows you what you are setting the parameter to. It would be great if it showed you where you have it set in the preset before you make a change, but it doesn’t seem to.
@schniggedagges742 ай бұрын
I expected to hear some different kinds of clean tones,,e.g. clean channel clean with different cabs or different values for high, mid and bass. Is this clean channel playabel with a jazz tone? What about funk or Reggae? It seems that even the smallest amount of gain or one of the pedals causes a lot of distortion already. How does the pedal react to a reduction of guitar volume? Does it clean up the sound? I see that this pedal has lots and lots of different distorted and overdriven sounds, but I am not so sure about the versatility of only one real clean channel.
@schniggedagges74Ай бұрын
Meanwhile I bought one and I am really impressed. It reacts a lot on the guitar volume. So you can clean up a driven sound just by reducing the guitar volume. That works on a certain degree on the more distorted amps, too. The Pod Express works very well with other pedals. I like to combine it with a tubesceamer in front of it. The sound is even better than with the build in TS. I turned the IRs off and use it with a blubox by Thomas Blug for speaker simulation after the Pod Express and it sounds awesome. So I can easily switch between 16 cab sims. Its so convenient and fast to dial in a sound. I do not miss an editor at all. The variety of sounds I get out of this little setting is huge and more than I need. Great product for that price. I think I will buy the bass one too, even if I play bass only once in a while.
@LearningCurveGuitar28 күн бұрын
I’m sorry you feel that way, it’s already 16 minutes. I’m doing a bunch of these because there is so much to this pedal. I feel like the gain stages are the main selling point. I realize all bass, treble adjustments may not be what you expect, but I think you can listen to this and imagine less bass, etc. where as the gain stages are what I would base my choices on. The first video in this series does cover those features. I hope you find what you’re looking for.

It's an interesting mod, but you lose the ability to reduce the treble of the bridge pickup without also cutting the neck pickup's treble. And, if anything, it seems backwards to me. Seems to make more sense to have the neck on full, & bleed in output from the bridge, rather than what this mod does, as bridge pickup's output would more likely overpower the neck's output. In fact, the issue with multiple volume controls or pots or circuits that bleed one pickup's output into the full output of the other, is that the total volume increases. Then to lover the total volume, but retain the ratio of one pickup's output to the other, you have to "play" with both knobs. The better setup is to use a true "balance" or "pan" pot, that mimics the balance control of a "HiFi" amp, which changes the ratio of left or right speakers output in relation to each other such that one "goes up" while the other "goes down" & vice versa...BUT, the total volume remains the same and changing the volume leaves the ratio of output between the respective speakers alone. You could install that by replacing one tone pot as you suggest...but the better idea is to leave both of them and just ADD a balance pot between the tone outputs of both pots & the input of the volume control. On more sophisticated wiring mods (such as those that split one or both humbucker pickups, reverse phases, etc) the pickup outputs can still be divided into two channels, that can be controlled with an added balance pot. It still makes more sense than only having the ability to bleed" on pickup's output into another one...but not the reverse. In regard to the above, it should be noted that it is confusing to use "bleed pot" as a synonym for "no load balance pots" as if they were identical: They're not. A true bleed pot can accept two inputs, but the pot only controls how much of one input's power gets added to full power of the other one. There's a third type of pot that sort of combines both of the above...in which, as mid-turn, BOTH input signals are at maximum, and rotating the knob reduces the volume of one input, or the other, while leaving the other one at full volume.

Why is it fashionable to make stuff that have shitty color based interfaces? 'Hold down these buttons then this light turns blue, '. Didn't we have proper graphical interfaces on gear last century? Now it is a memory game with colors. Who really thinks this is good? Not knocking the Learning Curve but this is beyond stupid. I'll stick with the old gear that was made by sane people. You know, put a picture of amp in slot, drag TS on front, chose reverb and go. Seems that was too hard so now we get this.

@@LearningCurveGuitar Or any other modeler that has a screen and an interface from this century. An amp is not a multi-effect pedal.
