I once had a 1976 Mercury Bobcat! Of course, it was just a nice Pinto with a Mercury Badge. Keep in mind, the Heavy Safety Bumpers were mandated in 1973, so the collision & explosion problems had been solved. The Car actually served me well for the 4 years I had it!! It was a "Runabout" so it had the hatchback! It could carry a full Drum Set or a Marshall Half-Stack & a Couple of Guitars!!!
