When SK doesn't know how to end a book, he usually blows up the whole town or introduces some big thing that takes the story forward. That's why The Stand has an explosion in the middle part.

Spoiler alert: Yep you're absolutely right about The Stand! In On Writing book, SK exactly talks about what you said about The Stand and the explosion, . I didn't mention it in the video to avoid spoiling.

Welcome back. Little brother’s got some esoteric taste. Dunno if he gave you the best of Ito’s work (that’s probably the anthology “Uzumaki” or the short story “The Enigma of Amigara Fault”) but I’m glad you stepped out of your comfort zone to share that experience with your little brother and the rest of your audience. I’ve been considering reading “yokohama kaidashi kikou” which is a manga about a robot girl who runs a cafe during a peaceful apocalypse. I personally can’t recommend it quite yet (because I haven’t read it myself) but from what I hear, it’s very comfy and a fun little read. There’s a chance YKK may appeal to you more. But yeah, thanks for the new video, hope all is well in your world

Hey buddy! So happy to hear from you. My brother bought the first two books just because of the book covers and they were never his favorites when he actually read them :)) He did recommend Uzumaki too, but I didn't choose it because I wanted to start with one shots, not series. But I may read Uzumaki some day, especially now that both of you are recommending it. Thank you for the YKK recommendation. I checked it out on goodreads and it sounds cozy and fun. It's now on my TBR list. Wish you all the best.

I think the problem with our generation is that we were raised with the notion that we are "special" that our feelings matter the most. This has led to the majority of us living in our own heads and withdrawing whenever we face minor life inconveniences. It would have been far better if we were raised with the notion that we are the same more that we will like to admit, that we are a of the human trib rather we like it or not and it is far more better to accept shortcomings in others and more importantly in ourselves. Like you said we all crave the same thing, too bad we seem to realize this only when it is too late.

Accepting shortcomings in others and in myself is something I need to work on. Sometimes I catch myself ruminating about what I/others did wrong, and it doesn't help. Accepting our feelings without giving them too much credit is such a hard and challenging thing to do. Thank you for your beautiful comment.

Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad showed us, on full extent, the potential of tv shows. Evolution of characters, evolution of the story, choices taken in season 1 affecting the last seasons. My favorite scene from this show has to be Howard's death. An innocent, loving and hard working man who went through a lot, introduced to us in season 1 always affecting the "civilian life" of jimmy. But the moment the two worlds collided (civilian and criminal life of Jimmy) we witness this poor guy being so brutally killed, shattering Kim's life, destoying their relationship, like an elastic that after 6 seasons snapped and ricochet in the faces of our protagonists. Truly poetic
@shasoreads

What an insightful explanation. [spoiler]: I love how we get to take a peek at Howard's personal life and personal struggles, before his death. We get hooked into his story more deeply.
@Alcimo333

@@shasoreads yes definitely. It makes it more human, before chuck's death we only see him as some sort of robot, extremely professional, maybe too much, and the only time we see him interact with Jimmy is to do him an injustice. but after chuck's death we start to see that he is actually a normal person, a struggling one, becoming relatable. And that last scene before he dies, such a powerful speech, letting everybody understand the sick nature of Kim and Jimmy prank. And then the fear in his eyes when Lalo takes out his gun, understanding he walked into something far more greater then him. Such a beatifull yet tragic way of ending a character's arch.

He was a villain in the first seasons, complicit with Chuck's plan of stopping Jimmy and keeping Kim in that low level position i forgot the title for. Kim and Jimmy were justifiably pissed at him. The only reason he seems like a saint when he dies is because he stopped being a dick in the middle of the show, but Jimmy and Kim never stopped messing with him as a revenge.

Thoughtful, sharp analysis of an absolute masterpiece of character development and narrative. The writers of BCS (and Breaking Bad) always seemed to respect the audience and didn't spoon feed. They built a world with subtleties, metaphor and as you pointed out by showing more than telling.

About people telling Kim she's smart both your examples came from season 6 which feels realistic too because there's 5 seasons before that showing she's smart and strong and by the time in BCS where they say it she's proven herself as both those things in this world so it makes sense that in those situations they'd say it
