You bike is running rich, your air sensors are clogged up need to be replaced or cleaned. Need to find out if something is shorting out like a speed sensor. Or like you definetly have a problem with carbon emissions stemming from bad carburetor settings. And if the rings need changing. Well that would be your cause. Did your bike smoke when starting?

Teated = Tested There is a specific procedure or process to test the canbus system on Indian's if they replaced the harness, they found an issue in the wire harness itself, and they don't repair wires...

Man I had hell getting my bike tuned after the decat. Finally took it to a Lloyds remote tuning center. That worked. Don't waste time on a power commander. The PC6 won't work below 2500 rpm.

We have very similar paths. I went from an Aprilia, to a BMW S1000RR to a Kawi ZX10R (Kept it though), then also bought an Indian Scout 101. I am now debating between upgrading my Scout 101 to either an Indian Challenger or the Indian Chieftain. I see you also ran into the the Indian bad battery issue too. What is odd is I bought a brand new 2025 Indian Scout 101 and also had battery issues within 1 week and bike was dead. When I brought it into to do the 500 mile maintenance they said yes a bad battery and replaced it. Seriously on a brand new motorcycle? I replaced it with an AntiGravity Restart Lithium battery.

It's a 12 watt amp. They currently sell for around $30.

Lol once a battery goes dead once, n u charge it, it basically isn’t a battery anymore will continue to go dead prematurely. My guess is that month that it took for them to repair it, the battery died somehow, it’s a shop so they would make that bike jump if it have to. But giving it back to you the battery was just charged under a short period of time and has died completely. You will constantly get the same weak amps in about a week timing, unless you claim warranty for that battery from them or man-up and buy a new battery.

Tell Indian, no exceptions, you want a new bike. It’s a lemon. 🍋 Get a lawyer if you have to.

As a retired mechanic who troubleshoot his own stuffs even while retired, I can assure you Your Indian Challenger is being what it’s designed to do. Cheap built and expensive. P0231 Low voltage means your catalytic inverter is clogged with carbon and dirty ur O2 sensors prematurely. Put a new one in there will only last you so long before you get the same issue. Your ignition coil could be a worst problem. Spark plug has heat range settings. Your cylinder has a cooling point. Harleys are built to allow air passed through called a fin. Most touring built Harleys also has a liquid cooling on the cylinder head. Which is great from a mechanic standpoint. Indian is built from an engineer standpoint and not a mechanic. So for your Indian beside replace the whole clogged stock exhaust you may need a new engine ASAP. Could be the thread of the spark plug that’s damaged. Could be the Piston Ring that’s damaged. Or it could simply be your coil wire is defective or loose. And it can also be a bad spark plug itself. I just traded a car that had 35k miles which was considered certified refurbished and had a 3 months warranty that gave me one hell of a time with cylinder issues. I was smarter than you and not involved dealer diagnose because carfax comes into play next. So I change the plug several times to watch it does the same thing. Change the coils. Then realized my camshaft is worned out and the engine is ticking extremely loud. I immediately walked in to a different dealer after I put the car back the same way I received it and traded it in. They didn’t know what hit them until several months later. But they do the same thing to customers which serves them right for one to do the same thing to them.

Motorcycle batteries are notorious for dying early If you don’t keep a trickle charge on them when you’re not riding the bike. I can’t tell you why, but that’s just been my experience with them over the years.

Most manufacturers are having issues with bad batteries. Most modern bikes with tech are very sensitive to voltage fluctuations.

Get the Hardstreet Ryt-there shelf set for your hard bags. I had them on a Chieftain, and my Road King bags, drop my phone, keys, wallet, sunglasses on the shelf, rest of the bag easy access for other gear, clothes, etc.

I know what that cap is for on the fairing. The cap on the right side is for the trickle charge. Which you pointed out. The cap on the left fairing ASM is for the installation of a fog light button. I have one on my 2024 Pursuit Dark horse.

My Harley's amd triumphs came with factory charger leads. The battery could of went bad from sitting while the bike was down? It should have a warranty if its under a year old

Battery stays for long time without connecting, i have 2021 Challenger i dont ride for couple of weeks and it starts normally, i guess it due to parking for long time to change the harness.

those are SharkRoad exhaust and the DeCat , put a K&N intake in and a tune and it will RRRiiiiipppp !!!

I love this bike. Glad to hear Polaris took care of you. I had a horrible experience with a new 2018 Polaris Ranger, the machine came from the factory with issues that Polaris originally tried to blame on me. Polaris finally warrantied it, and i sold it as soon as i got it back. Bought a Can Am and have had zero issues and zero regrets. I would buy this bike in 2024 if my initial interactions had went different. Instead ill stick with HD and purchase a Road Glide.

My BMW K1600B also has that port. I have never used it. My bike has sat for 3 weeks and cranks right up. I am an electrical engineering technician and no way a bike battery should die in two days. No way. Your ignition runs on AC, not DC. The alternator charges the battery but also fires the plugs via the coils. Sounds like your alternator is not charging the battery. Since all your instruments run off DC like the Oxygen sensor, it makes sense the battery is not being charged.

Dude you have been put through hell!!! I believe most issues are “ground related “ in All machines and can be remedied by adding grounds and disassembling factory grounds removing paint scuffing bright metal surfaces Not touching surfaces with bare hands and reinstalling. Easier to add a ground then find an insufficient ground . To find parasitic voltage loss pull fuses while it’s “off” you should find the current draw. FYI Polaris has many wiring harness issues for Years on the off road line up .Sorry brother for your pain and suffering and lack of confidence. Please keep us updated.

When it works! As I watch your presentation and your magnificent job of containing your frustration I'm picking up what you are, and are not putting down. You want to luv and enjoy your new Indian; your new ride but can't because of these glitches. Indian set expectations, you bought into what they were selling, and now Indian was not able to fulfill those expectations. I feel your pain.

Sounds like your problems due to improper assembly and when they said teeted I think they meant tested ( typo)

2022 Base model 0 problems to date Keep the Fob away from bike . Let computer load and hit OK on screen before starting . Never start and jump on it and twist let bike warm up to a minimum 170 - 175 Temp . This is essential to proper starting and riding procedure .

The heater in the O2 sensors warms up the sensor so the bike runs cleaner faster. As in low pollution. When you start the bike cold it runs on a cold start fuel map until the O2 sensors warm up enough to monitor the amount of oxygen in the exhaust. It sounds like your wiring harness had a short and that was causing fault codes. But if these codes come back you have a faulty ECU. It sounds like you have a bad battery also. You should be able to leave the bike sit for a couple of weeks before the battery dies. Go after them for a new battery….. ps Don’t leave the key on and flip through the menus as everything is powered up and you’re killing the battery very quickly. If your listing to the radio while in the garage and the bike not running make sure your in accessory mode just like your car. My son’s Victory cross country with 110,000km and no electrical issues. My Victory Vision 62,000 km and no issues.

Polaris makes the worst ATVs. I hope they didn’t make the Indian brand with the same quality as the ATVs. But from what I’ve been able to find, Harley has 10 times the issues. Also did you add anything electrical to the bike lately. Because these bikes are very sensitive to added electrical items. Also check your battery connections. They tend to loosen and cause major issues
