Is Popeyes Chicken still there? Well, that may be too far North for Taylor, I’m not sure. That may be S. Dearborn Heights, Dearborn. I’m a North Dearborn Heights boy. Riverside HS.

Grew up around Tele and Warren and went to high school in Dearborn Heights. I was very familiar with Taylor. Well, just about everywhere along the Telegraph beltway. Brought back some memories. I’ve lived outside of Michigan most of my life. Great video.

I enjoyed this video due to its style and content. I never lived in the SW burbs, always NE burbs of Detroit, but, I did interview for a music teacher job in the Taylor schools. I didn't get the job and never got to know the community. That was 24 years ago. I'm long since retired after continuing my career in a couple of charter schools near and in Detroit.

We live in Dearborn Heights but we see so many of these places driving through Taylor to go to Walmart or other places and from what I've heard Luck Buffet was closed down due to failing a health inspection and getting new ownership I would go in there on occasion now it's like a somewhat mexican/chinese buffet and I've been wanting to try yum yum

Great job! I lived at Champaign and Gulley in the 80's when we were starting a family. Recognize all of the businesses and streets that you talked about. It was a nice neighborhood then. Still visit Dairy Queen once in a while.

i like your work a lot, especially the images, and you seem like a decent person, but i disagree with almost everything you said in this video. CBT is a total crock. This "therapy" does not delve into any of the root causes that are making people suffer. It's a quick fix that means nothing. That's why insurance companies love it. Set a goal, and when someone achieves it, pronounce them "cured". That's a ton of BS. And what's with this compliment a day stuff? The last thing I want is to be complimented or even noticed. Just keep it moving, sir or madam. I'm doing just fine. Stop trying to be someone you're not, and embrace and accept who you are. If we are God's unwanted children, so be it! Sticking feathers up your ass does not make you a chicken, my friend.
@jeffspisak88084 ай бұрын
The compliment thing isn’t necessarily for strangers. If you see or notice something you like about someone tell them and don’t be mushy about it maybe. I don’t know. For me it’s about counteracting my deeply ingrained ways of being a curmudgeon all the time. It’s a waste of energy. And the cbt stuff…I’ve never done it but that’s all I read about being worthwhile for a lot of conditions. I’ve definitely always felt that the Buddhist worldview minus the mystical mumbo jumbo is the closest by far to how I feel about the world. I guess we disagree on some things. No problem at all. For myself I know that regular talk therapy is completely ineffective. I also know that almost every problem that I have in life was created by what I think or how I interpret events that are occurring around me. I’m glad you like the other stuff! It’s nice to have diversity of thought.

I think it’s my favorite city in the US tho I’ve only spent 3 days there. I get the sense that it’s become unaffordable and shitty due to the tech bros now.
