I had a judo instructor whose signature throw was uchi mata. He was an ace with it. He would use other throws, but the one he liked best was uchi mata. We weren't on the same level as him, so he could quickly get a winning throw on everyone in the dojo. He had success with it in international competition, though. He threw one of the Gracies with uchi mata pretty quickly. In case you're not familiar with the Gracies, they were the founders of the Brazilian Jui Jitsu movement.
