Thanks for posting this quick introduction! I compared various AH inputs and their respective transcription outputs and then compared that against using the Whisper API directly (i just copy/pasted their tutorial Python code). The source input seems to matter quite a lot, as far as the end result transcription is concerned. Using application output of file playback of an audio file (I used Fission with an uncompressed AAC) is better than using application output as the AH input (I used Google Chrome app audio output of this present video, from 2:14-3:16) is better than from microphone input. The Whisper AI output was only slightly better than the transcription of the application-based audio playback. My "live" audio transcription was abou on par with yours. Here's the Whisper AI transcription of 2:48-3:16: "The founder and lead developer is Barry Laubrecht. Good luck with that. Barry Laubrecht, who gives us the code PODNEWS. It's case sensitive, so it's PODNEWS with a capital P, which will give you two months free. So there we are, that's that done. Right, let's press the stop button. And oh, that says finalising. That's exciting, isn't it? Finalising." Compared to the Audio Hijack transcription of the same clip: "The founder and lead developer is Barry Laubrecht. Good luck with that. Barry Laubrecht, who... us the code PODNEWS. It's case-sensitive, so it's PODNEWS with a capital P, which will give you two months free. So there we are, that's that done. Right, let's press the stop button, and, oh, that says finalising. It's exciting, isn't it? Finalising." And the KZfaq auto-transcription: "the founder and lead developer is Barry labre good luck with that Barry LS who gives us the code pod news it's K sensitive where say it's pod news with a capital p uh which will give you 2 months free so there we are that's that done right let's press the stop button and oh that says finalizing that's exciting isn't it finalizing" Oh! I just noticed that WhisperAI detected a non-American accent and so used the non-American spelling of "finalising".

Hang on so there where Google pixel phones 5 n more years ago.. wow as iv only just heard of them n also its the first time they have been advertised anywhere in in nsw on TV n things like KZfaq so ya thats all very strange to me, just goes to show how Australia is still in 2023 so far behind the world. Ps. Do u mind letting me no why they have only now been getting advertised like on KZfaq for example plz if they have been around at least 5 years if not more as im only going of one of the comments on this upload so it could be longer who knows my friend but it would be greatly apricated if you can explain a lil more to this simple backwards lil aussie plz Sir.. #Cheers. ....!

Hi James! Have you ever noticed that the KZfaq version is available before the Alexa Flash Briefing? I'm in Eastern Time zone and if I ask Alexa to play my briefings at around 4 or 5 am Podnews is not there but the episode is published on KZfaq. Just a fun fact I thought you may want to know. Cheers!
