Among the printers I used, the best print quality was with the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon. There is a review video on my channel, you can watch it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hLBngrWZsdaudac.html&lc=UgyFTYj8TTtikramRNh4AaABAg.A7J-j6gh4I4A7KFzA4NrdX

I considered the x1c but I wasn't interested in the ams due to waste. In the end I decided to go with the Flashforge Adventurer M5 Pro which has many of the same features and is less than half the price. So far I'm pretty happy with it.

Hello, thank you for your comment. Yes, the AMS system wastes a lot of filament. Although the X1C has better material quality, the M5 is a printer that I also like. There is also an M5 review on my channel, if you watch it, I would like to learn your experiences about your printer. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nNl_iZSmna3Mc3k.html

@@3DPrintLab1 I'm curious what you mean by "better material quality". If you are referring to the housing being aluminum vs plastic guess that's just a matter of opinion. Aluminum is easier to dent and plastic is typically more damage resistant. I think the doors on the X1C are glass where the M5 has plastic doors. Again, plastic is more durable and they work very well. The only 2 features I know of that the X1C has that the M5 doesn't is the sensor at the head, lidar I think it is and the purge tower. The X1C does have a slightly larger bed and that would be nice but I'm just not convinced these things warrant the huge price difference (over double). I could be wrong, I'm no expert.

@@caseypries7559 Yes, as you said, the first thing that naturally catches your eye is that the metal covers of the body are glass. Apart from that, even the plastic parts give a premium feel. You shouldn't think of this only as impact resistance and flexibility. Even the weight of the printer affects the print quality. A solid carrier frame and body helps reduce vibration. I think we shouldn't compare the M5 Pro with the X1C, and this includes the price. The printers that we can evaluate in the same class as the M5 Pro should be printers like the Bambu Lab P1S or Creality K1C. Their prices are also close to each other. Whether it is worth the price difference depends entirely on the user's expectations. For example, I wouldn't recommend the X1C to someone who will use the printer for a hobby, it is unnecessarily expensive. (If have a lot of money, that's different 😄) The M5 Pro will more than meet the expectations.

@@3DPrintLab1 I'm sorry but I still don't get it. To me the x1c is just overpriced. Making something from aluminum just to be aluminum is pointless. The M5 is a metal frame, just plastic covers. Again, I have a lot of trouble understanding the $600 price difference. I could've bought either model. I just didn't see the point in throwing money away. So far the only thing I've heard mentioned is aesthetics.
@3DPrintLab1
@3DPrintLab1 2 күн бұрын
@@caseypries7559 I hope you don't think I'm defending Bamboo Lab. I'm just speculating why it might be expensive. Of course, it's not just because of an aluminum body or a glass cover. The processor, motherboard, the quality of the materials used in the mechanical parts, the cooling fans, extruder, camera or the lidar, all of these can affect the price. So we can't judge it based on what we see. I don't know how much each of these affects the price or what they will provide us. Maybe the processor used in the X1C is 10 times more expensive than the one used in the M5 Pro, I don't know. Maybe it's unnecessary to use this processor for a printer, I don't know that either :) But I think there's a reason why the X1C is so expensive while the P1S and P1P are more economical printers. Is it worth it? I'm not sure. I don't think the print quality is as much as the price difference. Maybe the quality of the materials used in very long-term use can make a difference.

I think if you want an affordable, entry-level 3D printer, KE will meet your expectations. If you don't print at high speeds all the time, you can use it for a long time. My advice is to buy an extra hotend with KE. Because I have heard complaints about this printer from some users about hotend clogging sometimes.

I'm new to 3D printing and I just got this one. I would just like to know what is the difference between all those acronisms such as, PETG, ABS, ASA?
@3DPrintLab1
@3DPrintLab1 16 күн бұрын
Hello, PETG is a thermoplastic that has been strengthened by adding glycol to PET, which is generally used in food packaging. It can be used in every printer, including open cases. ABS and ASA are industrial plastic types with high impact resistance and temperature resistance. Although they are very similar, ASA is much more suitable for outdoor conditions than ABS. Both materials are more suitable for closed-case printers because they are quickly affected by air flow and can lift off the printing surface.

Thank you for your review. As myself a newbie here on KZfaq as well as in 3D Printing world I started with Ender-3 S Pro but I couldn’t get it going without having problems every other projects I tried. After back and forth I managed to get it swapped for CR-10 SE. But while printing the the nozzle and within the whole system clogged up. So, I returned it and just ordered the K1C, hoping this is the ONE… Being disabled I get bored doing nothing especially during Winter season when I cannot get things done in my Shed/Man-Cave. KZfaq channel gave me something to focus on and a 3D Printer that works will be a great for those days and many other projects. Don’t forget to check out my contents if you find a little time! Very good review - especially at 13:53 was very interesting. But 15:20 shows that something is wrong with the printer or settings. I own a Prusa MK3S+ (200 mm/s), and have to say, I get maximum 0.02 mm tolerance max since years (I am a product designer). Sliced parts or 2 parts like this in the mid - never happened. Is this normal that when you make 2 parts that they don't fit together? Because I overthink to buy a X1 Carbon. Thanks for your answer. Interesting at 20:15, that the time differences between 250mm/s and 500mm/s are only 39 min., or between 150mm/s and 500 mm/s is only 1:55h... I know that it depends on the model and so on, but interesting to see, that some models can't print faster, even if it is theoretical possible. At 22:11 i have to say, my Printer you cant hear even at 200mm/s. I made dampers, it has no enclose, but I work 50 cm beside and can't hear it working.

@3DPrintLab1 Ай бұрын
Thank you very much🙏 I didn't pay attention to the junction point in the ABS print. I think it has something to do with my settings. I think it can be fixed. The reason for the time difference between speeds is that the printer cannot reach a speed of 500mm/sec at every point. For example, in the test I did for 500mm/sec, the printer may have reached an average speed of 300-350mm/sec; it is not possible to measure this exactly. We can only clearly see the effects of speed on duration with a single-wall print in surface mode. The X1 Carbon is not a quiet printer, especially with all the fans on. I don't think you can work 50cm away from the printer for very long :) It is currently working 10 meters away and I can hear its voice very clearly :)

However, it will not be possible to purchase and use these fans directly because the fan types and sizes are not suitable for the printer. Maybe it can be done with a few modifications. But I'm not sure about that either, because the X1 Carbon is a printer that notices even if you change the build plate and does not start printing, saying you used the wrong build plate :) So I'm very confused about this. I’m new to the industry, so maybe I’m wrong… but is it normal to call something you printed a “printing”? I keep expecting him to call it a “print”.

Hello, I'm not sure about this, I don't want to give wrong information because my native language is not English. Even my English is quite bad :)

But what makes sense is ''print''.

Great printer, great review and interesting speed results with the quality hanging in there. So inner walls first ? I am slicing in cura. The z height is always .1mm too low.

Hello, thank you very much. Especially in angled models such as benchy, the inner wall should be used first. For example, if a model such as a pyramid is being printed, the outer wall can be used first. This can have a positive impact on surface quality. I usually use a 0.2mm layer in my review videos. 0.1mm makes printing time much longer.
