Thanks for reacting to one of the coolest hip-hop songs ever. Are you still active on KZfaq? Would love some more reactions to other lost greats from the same backpack scene like C-Rayz Walz (Carefree), Cool Calm Pete (Lost) or Cannibal Ox (B-Boys Alpha). I'll check your other vids.

Man, this song is taking about don't fall for others bullshit. When someone is judging you, or the world is a mess, you are better than you know. He won't allow himself or others to fall down and ruin themselves. Listen to the hook and if you get it you can understand.

So many of these lyrics went right over your head. "He leave the competition steaming like a pile" has nothing to do with being shot. He means steaming like a pile of shit on a cold day...

Brotha you gotta make more videos, people like you help keep the underground alive. You make quality videos with quality commentary, good understanding of wordplay and references, especially for the fact that from the videos of yours that I’ve seen, it’s your first time hearing the song. Come back bro. The underground, the unsigned, the unwilling to sell they soul for popularity and money, the people that do it for the passion while still working a 9-5, they need people like you bro. Might feel like you don’t make a difference, but dawg, you do. Much love

I'll paint the picture for ya! Imagine that you were taking antidepressant for 15 years and quit them then move from NYC into the woods of Oregon in a barn. Not being used to nature sounds compared to the concrete jungle could mess up your way of thinking 🤔

I don’t know if it’s listening to Aes for so long or just being a fellow avoidant personality who works from home at night but Aes’s verse feels super straightforward to me. All dude wants is to get some snacks for the corner store but it’s a whole fantasy D&D quest just to get past the other humans between you and your pumpkin seeds.

Just to clarify, Gehenna is an actual physical location near Jerusalem where garbage and bodies were burned. Modern christianity tends on translate it as “hell”, but that’s actually not an idea that existed in old Judaism. It’s just a literal place bodies were disposed of. Like a lot of Aes tracks from Skelethon and Spirit World, this is a track about grief for Camu Tao, who died young from cancer. Since you reacted to Coffin Jump, you’ll catch the same theme again there - “I’m asking for a friend who caught a loss and never surfaced, simply curled up in his cubby shutting down his central nervous.” Camu comes up often tho rarely by name.
