How long did you wait for the adapter? I think mache forum said the free extended to August 31 Knightdale, not far from me here in Holly Springs.

I ordered it within 30 minutes of when the orders opened on February 29th. I received it around the 2nd week of June. They did just recently extend the deadline which is great for people who want to order it. We took a road trip up to Raleigh and had to stop in Knightdale along the way. That road trip video will be coming out soon.

FWIW I also ordered mine the first day, but being West coast there were three time zones of people who got their order in first, so I'm number 9398. I was originally told May for delivery, which got bumped to June. Still waiting, so I ordered the A2Z early in June and it arrived today. If you order now I imagine it will take a long time to get your free one.

I own a 2018 Ionic plug in and had the exact ssme issue and amazingly the dealer could not figure out the problem after several trips to their shop. When I finally figured out it was thebbattery which is nothing more than an AGM which wasnnot available for three months at $400 I found an option using a lithium at $200 The new lithium has been trouble free. My car has bern in the shop now for 3 weeks wsiting on parts for a transmisdion problem. I cannot understand why parts are not available for these issues.

Have two 2007 Corvettes that my wife and I bought new in 2007. Hers black mine Atomic Orange Metallic, what an awesome color ! Both Z51 3LT. Both with only less than 10k original miles.( weekend car show cars ) I immediately changed the stock air intake with a KnN air intake. Such a big difference, the stock one is so restrictive. Gotta let em breath...just subbed

I just got a 2020 Chevy Bolt Premiere EV with 22k miles for 18k otd. I will get 4k back at the end of the year. So effectively got it for 14 k. Just bought 16 inch rims and new tires since the ride is kinda bumpy which I read helps with ride comfort. It was a lemon buyback so comes with a 12 month bumper the bumper. 100k battery and 65k electric and motor warranty. Haven’t paid any money for gas in 2 weeks. Free charging all day everyday. Bought nice mats and accessories so that added about 2k with 75k warranty on tires and wheels.

This definitely means a lot of people that preordered didn’t end up buying it. Which is probably a smart move at that price. Tesla and Elon are unstable right now, maybe by the time the RWD one comes out they will be more stable. And hopefully it is priced properly. Buying it now at 100,000 is just wasting money at this point. Those people are losing a lot as the value of them drops.
@TechMotoring
@TechMotoring 18 күн бұрын
I agree with all these points. I am hoping by the time my RWD order comes up, it will be a more polished and affordable vehicle for the masses. It may even have autopilot by then! Thanks for the comment.

Hi! I just discovered your channel. I started watching your 'Mach-E'-Playlist today - I'm probably not watching every single video full time, but enjoyed this one as one of the first longer ones. Great commenting and editing on your side. Sorry to see that you have so few followers and viewers - or do you upload your videos elsewhere where more people are watching and this is just 'backup' or something? I can't be the first one commenting this video? I'm interested in the Mustang as my next vehicle mid 2025 and enjoy watching videos like yours in the meantime. I know since the video came out two years ago BC improved and so I'm looking forward to continue watching the playlist till the latest videos and especially those road trip videos. I'm also always interested in changes in the Ford Sync system with updates and so. Right now there are only very few videos with the newer look (I mean the latest one with those flat symbols; not the also quite new one with those light blue buttons) on KZfaq. Many do still have the car in the upper left, which seams old by now - but actually was up to date till a year ago or something? Anyway - have a great Sunday! I might commenting on the next videos along my journey of watching your Mach-E videos. Greetings from Germany! Lukas

Hey Lukas. I'm glad you found my channel. This is where I post all of the videos for Tech Motoring. I do have a small presence on other Social Media sites as well. I appreciate you commenting, and yes, you are the first on this video. I am hoping to do a follow up video to this one soon. I have been waiting for a Blue Cruise update for my car for a while, but I hear it is coming soon. The newer vehicles come with the update already. I have a ton of Mach-E content on the channel and we are continuing to do more since I still own the car. Enjoy the playlist and make sure to share with anyone that may also find the videos entertaining. Thanks for watching.

I have a question, while I’m charging the battery, is it ok to leave the charger in all night and during the day when your finished charging? I know with the Tesla they said you could just leave it plugged in. I want to know if it’s still the same with the Mach e ???
@TechMotoring
@TechMotoring 29 күн бұрын
Yes, it's fine. I highly recommend setting a charge limit around 80% or whatever you will need for your typical day. Once it hits that limit you set it will stop charging.

Ok so I had olesed 4K cam CarPlay unit from AliExpress decided to give it a go and try get this thing working. I don’t have Bluetooth audio in my vehicle only bt calls. I used a ugreen aux to Bluetooth adaptor. I then connect the unit to to my phone via Bluetooth and WiFi like normal. The only difference I made was my car is on aux selected but on the unit I’ve chosen Bluetooth and not aux. and sure enough my bt music is playing and sounds really good. and I can do my calls through car speakers clearly no problem. All control through unit. My steering controls work aswell. The only thing I can’t do is skip songs on steering as I don’t have that control.

@bigdmc6459 Ай бұрын
Ps the sound through aux direct is terrible and only 1 side speakers work. On my unit the fm isn’t terrible as it’s a dual channel stereo but nothing else would work through speakers.

Hi there quick question. My 2011 Mercedes only does Bluetooth calls no music audio. If I connect it via aux or fm will my calls still work as normal? Is will my music play and will I still be able to make and receive calls.
@TechMotoring
@TechMotoring Ай бұрын
If you connect your phone via Bluetooth to the AINVAI device and transfer your media via Aux or FM modulation. Then your calls will actually go through the AINAVI device instead of your car. Which means your car microphone will not work. It is a weird catch 22 with devices like this. I am going to experiment more with this device in the future to see if there is a good solution for this issue.

You do not have to unless you want to change some internal settings of the EVSE. For instance maximum kW output. I immediately set mine up through the Tesla app with no issues.

@@TechMotoring thanks for this! FWIW for anyone with an issue-I did ultimately need to use Tesla One app to complete setup. Not to commission it, it did default to 60amp max default settings like you said. But consumer Tesla app said UWC wasn’t connected to WiFi even though it was. When I went to Tesla One app, it showed a fault that I had not set region/country. Once I set USA everything synced perfectly.

First off, I absolutely love your channel and your great in depth reviews, especially your Tesla to J1772 adapters. You're one of the only adapter reviewers that actually check the locking mechanisms, do temperature tests, and explain the dust & water resistance ratings. Could you start reviewing J3400 to CCS1 adapters please? Ok, now to my actual reason for commenting lol. If I'm using an OBD2 dongle do I really need the ABRP Premium subscription?
@TechMotoring

Thanks for the awesome comment. I appreciate the kind words. I'm hoping to start reviewing more DC charging adapters soon. You don't need the Premium version for the OBD2 connectivity, but the premium is nice to have with the Android Auto and Apple Car Play functionality. There is also a list of recommended dongles on ABRP's site. Thanks for watching the channel.
