It's already too late, men have already built up a coping mechanism of being emotionally uninvolved/unavailable. The whole ✌️"broken people break people" narrative has already been insinuated that men who seek emotional support in a relationship are basically ✌️"unfixed" men who are preying on women, only to break them because they are bitter in life. So, by all means, these men must be avoided and they should seek professional help in order to get ✌️"fixed" before going on a date. And like it or not, the reality is, men are fed up with the disrespect. Again minimizing men's emotions and treating it like a burden that women have to put up with. Despite the fact that men are more than capable to keep their emotions in check, we'd rather suffer in silence than having women treating ✌️"emotional men" like bunch of cry babies who come at them with their emotional baggages for them to ✌️"handle". IF ONLY, all women could be vocal about their distatste of "broken" men when dating, they could've found their "fixed" / "healed" person sooner 😂. But yeah, good luck on finding these ✌️"healed people", if they happen to exist on our planet 😂

There were some things I like about what he said and some things that I didn’t. 1) This topic of creating a safe space in relationships for vulnerability is not a gender one but a human conversation. 2) Dating with “walls up” and being wise and intentional are two different things. A strong sign is that when something comes up that makes you feel unsafe you don’t retract or lash out you communicate what you are experiencing and how it is impacting you. 3) Vulnerability truly is your super power when dating that allows you to understand if someone is a good fit with you. It should not be misconstrued with having no filter or intentionality when opening up, but it is an awareness of your experience and an intentionality to allow your intuition to inform you of if this is a good opportunity to connect deeper based on the state of the relationship as a whole. Opening up too fast is not vulnerability it is a lack of prudence.
