Hey, great video and I also read your article, but do have a couple of questions regarding your water profile. You recipe includes a bunch of water additions. Will adding these to RO water create the desired water profile or do I have to start with the water profile mentioned and then add the "Misc" mentioned in the recipe? When do I add the water chemicals to the water and do you add these to the sparge water as well. PS: What is your starting water volume and sparge water volume for the Bowie IPA?

This video was well done and nice to look at. However, I wish less time had been devoted to painting the freezer and more time dedicated to what's going on inside the freezer. Wanted more information on installation of taps, drip tray, thermostat, regulator and manifold, etc... I got some good design tips but would have liked more of the other things.

Plant peas and oats (terminate at the seed milk stage) with it and use a better organic soil with a super large hole in the bottom of your pots to have a better chance.

Hey man, it looks like you're not particularly active anymore, but I'm wondering how the hops turned out now that you've had a couple years.
@BrewCabin3 ай бұрын
Gearing up to be active again. The hops in 2023 turned out way better. I made a bunch of upgrades which I'll include in this year's video. Mainly I got a real trellis and 30 gallon grow bags.

How is the pump activated? I see it draws from the drum and out the pot filler, but. What tells the pump to turn on as there is no water pressure to activate it?
@BrewCabin4 ай бұрын
The pump is pressure activated. When I open the pot filler valve, the pump automatically kicks on.

Hi, i have a question. Does any kind of chest freezer suites for building a keezer? I have explained to the salesman of chest freezer what im intendind to do ,he said ,that compresor might burn,if starts more often than 10 min. Im confused,what chest freezer i should look for. Could You please give Your opinion.Thank You!
@BrewCabin4 ай бұрын
I'm not a chest freezer expert, but my guess is YES. As long as you have a temperature controller, you can turn any fridge or freezer into any temp controlled box at any temperature.

What a fantastic video nice work man. I want to give this a go and am just flirting with starting to use RO water and actually attempting some water chemistry instead of just a carbon filter and tap water. How do i convert your PPM to Grams??
@BrewCabin4 ай бұрын
You need to know your base PPM measurements in your supply water. From there, you can use a calculator to find out how many grams it takes to reach the desired PPM for any salt. For example, if you find out that your water has 10ppm of Sulfate, and the recipe calls for 100ppm, then you can use a tool like Brewfather or Beer Smith to figure out how many grams it would take to raise your sulfate levels 90 ppm.

It always happens this way...ya can't, until ya DO. The question is: was going to kegging life changing in the brewing game for you? Bonus question: Do you feel PRESSURE to keep such a large keezer fully stocked? Personally, kegging my beer was a game changer...but I don't want such a large keezer. It is a VERY NICE build though! Cheers!
@BrewCabin6 ай бұрын
I've been kegging for a very long time (since 2008). I hated bottling so much that it was the first upgrade I ever made to my brewing equipment. My friend had an old kegerator he gave to me. It was from the 80s with one tap. I used that thing until it eventually died.

This is the first video of yours I watched and I'm not gonna lie, the editing got me. I've watched so many creators that do the full body "duplication shots" (I don't remember the actual name for it and too lazy to look it up right now) that I've gotten pretty good at spotting them, and at the beginning I knew it was one of those. But the conversation between the brothers had a natural flow, I didn't spot any seams, and other indicators of that kind of shot that I brushed off the uncanny valley effect that surpassed even the possibility of being identical twins. Then I got absorbed into the building of the keezer, as that was why I was here after all, so the ending actually hit me pretty hard. Best instructional video leading to an existential crisis I've ever watched, rivalling some of Brian David Gilbert's videos!
