Since taping this program, we have lost our good friend, Johnny Olson. You will continue to hear and hear Johnny on the many programs he has all ready taped. He was dearly loved by all of us, and he'll be sorely missed. - Bob Barker, 1985.

My husband is a history nerd and has done a lot of research on US military history. So he told me about what he has learned about the "lone survivor" and the COMPLETE story of the Little Big Horn, long after my eyes had glazed over. Here is what he has to say. Thomas Sowers had a lame horse, so he was indeed bringing up the rear of Custer's men. He was there, he saw what was taking place and turned around. He kept going. He disappeared for a while. Basically he was a deserter. Uh oh, my husband just appeared with a couple of big history books. He will continue to regale me with more information about this. (Sigh)

Stories Like this keeps history Interesting. I'm a little surprised that Your Husband had heard of Mr. Stowers. After I visited the cemetery I stopped at a little history museum near Lebanon Tennessee, and mentioned Mr. Stowers to one of the Volunteers who basically discarded everything except the part about the stone being place as stunt. He said records do indicate that Mr. Stowers was indeed at the Battle but all the other stories are basically tall tales. I took it that I was not the first person to ask him about Mr. Stowers and all of the stories associated with him.

This video makes me feel sad. My husband is a Vietnam Veteran. He was treated shamefully when he left the Army. His cousin was killed in Vietnam. No one in the family has been able to visit the Vietnam War Memorial. I thought one of us should. So I went to the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. I found Frankie Heniss's name there. Today, I am rememberinĝ Frankie and his widow and the two boys who grew up without a father.

Computers! How did we manage before without them! Blue Screen Of Death, eh? A little while ago, I got the Black Screen Of Nothing! Took it to Geek Squad. No hope. Looking forward to sitting down with my cell phone on Sunday morning to watch another one of your videos. In the meantime, my husband and I will be traveling on the East Coast in our RV. I consider places like this to be the gems of my travels. My husband and I travel in our motorhome. We winter in Florida and summer in Maine. We prefer surface roads to the interstates, but we do use the interstates. We have several places that are kind of out-of-the-way like this. Some are even whole towns. We often go through Virginia on our way north. We just might stop here sometime.

Thanks for more history on the ingalls, I've seen their grave markers with another person but they didn't go into much detail. Seems crazy to me sometimes when I Think about what was going on in history at the time marked by the ingalls history because My great grandfather was born in 1874 two years before Custer's last stand. And I knew my great grandfather, I asked him one time what it was like Back then and all he said was IT WAS ALRIGHT!. HE WAS VERY HEALTHY and just decided one day he was done and just stopped eating and he passed away in 1970 at the age of 96.
