I know this guy is a real policeman, but I love how he didn’t even wear a more appropriate Star Wars outfit or even just a generic space suit for the video. He just wears his regular police uniform. Yeah, like the Maryland State Police actually exist in a galaxy far, far away. XD

1:43:25 This song title is 'You' - featured in The Great Ziegfeld (1936). Recorded that same year by Tommy Dorsey with Edyth Wright, vocal.

So I am assuming this is from a collection of records owned by a person with a United or simply large spindle hole label phonograph who figured out a way of cutting out the appropriate sized hole to allow regular sized spindle holed records to play on their machine?
@RaptorsVideosКүн бұрын
@@TheWorldOfBudgetVinylRecords Yes, these were from someone who owned a standard machine, the ARC record I posted earlier came from the same group of records.
@TheWorldOfBudgetVinylRecordsКүн бұрын
@@RaptorsVideos That explains it. Props to them for ingenuity in beating the system with whatever tool they used to bore a perfect enlarged spindle hole.

For those who may be curious, yes, someone drilled out the spindle hole to fit a standard machine.

I'm 72 and have no recall of this song in 1965. If it was popular somewhere it must have been a local market. Nationally it has no footprint. It also sounds something like a Four Seasons song.

Neat. These were the discs that our American cousins tended to play on their 'portable' back-of-the-car record players. Not all Radio Stations in the US played the beat dominated (How To Annoy Your Parents) Top Forty .. and local reception could dip .. just like in Europe - a bit of a culture shock! What an era. ;o)
