Not for me. Thought it was too sloppy. Final image did not appeal. Just didnt click. Better luck next time tho.

Brilliant 🙏 thank you, very clear instructions and at last someone who advises on the clean up. Excellent tips, (now I know where I am going wrong, dishwasher soap only, I shall not mix with water)!

I wish I found this video sooner. I’ve been getting really into print making and this would’ve saved me so much money when first starting out. Don’t get me wrong, I love my speedball stuff, but I love making art with recycled materials as well. Definitely gonna try this out ASAP

WHAT is the speedball? This tipe of printing reminded me of lino print just faster and much cheaper. But still the texture you made with lino print is amazing. In my country speedball is mix of drugs cocaine and H i don't think about that ❤
@j.wilcox35475 ай бұрын
@@anazec2887 speedball is a type of ink used in linocut printing. But, speedball can also mean cocaine mixed with heroin.

Hi, thank you for the video. I was wondering why you didn't choose to put the paint on the dull side of the cardboard rather than the shiny side? The shiny side, I think makes the ink or paint squish around. I was thinking that the back side, the dull side of a cardboard, although it would suck in a lot of paint unless you sealed it maybe, would have some interesting texture if you scored it. I'll probably experiment some by myself, but I was just wondering. The other thing that I was thinking was that with the dull side of cardboard you would get better adherence to the paper. I get the impression, I could be wrong, that the shiny side sort of floats on the paint, are glides on it....

Hi, That's a good consideration. I went with the glossy side in this video with the thought that it would hold up better to the wet media. The absorption of the dull side would definitely help with adhesion. Since this video I've used the dull/raw side more often for demos. Thanks for the comment!

I've seen watercolor monoprints where the wc was applied to a sanded plexi plate that had been coated with dish soap to help activate the paint during printing. In that tutorial, the paint was allowed to dry on the plate, then soaked and blotted printing paper was placed over the plate. Next, another sheet of paper was placed over the damp paper before the back of the paper was rubbed to transfer the image. That technique had a different effect than the effect you achieved. Thanks for posting your technique.
