Thank you for the question. If you do not have any fresh or frozen colostrum from your own herd on hand, the best option is to purchase a commercially available product that has been pasteurized to ensure no disease pathogens are present. This product should contain a minimum of 100 grams of IgG.

Prep the heifers well with late gain model up to breeding, and ensure min of 55% of mature bwt, breed early and for 30 (max 40 days) ... and market opens early with early preg check....Mother nature selects for fertile heifers in our environment, makes more on the opens ..... Treat the heifer like a cow and get better cows. Awesome presentation thank you!!

Thanks for the question, @taylerwagner5776. If you don't have a transfer needle you would need to pull all of the liquid up with a syringe and needle, then inject it back into the dry powder.

There’s a colostrum replacer and a milk replacer they’re perfectly fine to use. That is if you can’t get the colostrum from your mama
