Sick brake kit and very expensive, super annoying their info is incorrect and it doesn’t just “bolt on” with what they advertise. I had issues with fitment on mine also, AP racing / ASR needs to step up and quit with the false advertising on their products, what wheels fit and don’t fit etc. Thanks for sharing

Dang you too, as mentioned several people reached out to me about their issues with the kit but non of them mentioned the issues i had except wheel clearance. so weird! There is a few companies involved, essex who is AP racing in NA, which sell the kit to ASR in this case. ASR then makes the adapter kit for this particular car, this car (civic/integra) has a bunch of spindle and hub differences that should have been looked at during R&D. Not mentioned in this video, I had to turn out a shim in order to get the caliper centered in my case.

Do you paint in your garage, I have a gsr sitting in my garage for 12 yrs that needs a respray.

I dont, reason being it can be hard to evacuate the air even with a couple fans. The more the air saturates with paint the more "dust" you get in it. the paint dries in the air and sticks to the paint as dust. I usually do the body work in my garage then send it out to get sprayed.

Couldn't agree more w/ your thoughts on Charlie Moua / Doryoku valve cover services even if my valve cover didn't take 6+ months only to arrive damaged beyond repair in shipping being told he'd replace it only to have tantrum when I mailed the damaged one back per his request that he's in turn mail the replacement which I've still never received as he's ignored all my calls texts dms then told I was "refunded" onto no longer active card worst customer experience mediocre craftsmanship even aside from that the finished results are nothing to warrant the wait time & you're spot on in regards to sandblasting vs chemical & at the very least could be re-riveted vs screws/bolts

thanks for sharing! I thought Id give it shot his price was reasonable to warrant the shipping in and out time. There are so many local powder coating shops now, lots do detail work like this, and usually return within a week.

I think the carbon look spark plug cover looks pretty cool, each to their own. It’ll be interesting to see what it’s replaced with. Car/project is looking great. Love the videos, keep them coming.

The car is looking great! It's interesting to see you are going with the black theme on it When i autocrossed it, it was nicknamed "black demon" by a fellow competitor who couldn't beat it 😂

My bad, for the rotor options mentioned near the end at 12:20 are wrenchmob motorsports, not mdp.

Great, informative video as always. When I put the DC2 airbox in my EK4, I relocated the overflow bottle to behind the headlight modifying the stock bottle bracket, with the bottom of it sitting in the round hole that's in the chassis. I ran some rubber hose around the lip of the hole so it doesn't damage the bottle. It helped create more space, particularly with the thicker radiator and stock fan etc.

Been subscribed for a long time, always admired your attention to detail. This is my old car. I bought it in 2018 100% stock with a dead cylinder for 800 bucks. Aside from the damaged motor and cracked rear bumper, it was a total cream puff. It was a complete budget build for me, all used parts. Built it for autocross (as you mentioned) It was quite competitive with the little single cam, i actually won my first and second autocross season with it in the okanagan. I sold it in 2020 to a friend along with that b18c swap (not installed) The transmission isnt actually original to that motor, it came off my b18c7 aussie spec type R swap(98 spec), it probably has around 200kms on it Looking forward to seeing where the build goes for you, loved this car. Lots of racing memories with it
