There are so many bows on ebay let me give call. " THE " bow find early 2000s bowtech commander general or newer general on with a roller guide system or commander without a roller guide it actually is faster then most newer bows atleast in my draw length which is way longer then everyone @ 32" and to make a general or commander go that long is a little work but honestly I wish I never sold mine back in 2013 it was a absolute beast I have bought one since and rigged it it shoots better for me then my mathews atlas it matches my hoyt factor in performance and is a beautiful bow do not be scared to buy a used just shop to find what you want I still kill deer with a bow I payed 100 for used and 560$ when I bought it new in 2007 it use to be just shy of a 1000 to buy and set up flagships for so long once they went to bow and string for 1000 then covid after that SDH= SHIT DOWN HILL as in shit went down hill from there

Wish I could afford one it amazes me the change in cost of archery since my first real compound bow .. i had a ?# hoyt takedown recurve that was bought at yard sale for years prior it had bunch of target goodies and couple dozen arrows my dad said you get to where you can shoot a baseball sized circle on a haybail and ill buy you a compound and we will talk about hunting with it ..I got it at 11 bday I remember we didnt have alot but what we did have was decent my parents worked hard and when my dad brought me to the archery shop i remember how much it was to set that bow up with newest best tech for the time.. I remember being so worried how much it would cost to get the sights rest and other things needed to shoot alot of guys shot fingers with a compound ..triggers were not super big but available very small amount were marketed for hunting and I started out shooting fingers with my first compound we walked out that shop for less then 300 yes it was not best of the best bows but I didn't want to spend my dad and moms money even though my dad totally gave me a blank check . The shop owner said spend good money here and there not here not there so I did and walked out shop rigged and ready to shoot the sights were what looked like a magnificent glass with a reticle etched in it with windage and yardage lol.... the cost of a sight today is enough to rig two nice bows in 1990 hell I remember 250 being ridiculous for a sight and that was a spott hogg in 2010 hell my first real name brand compound I bought new was a bowtech commander @2007 tbt still the best shooting and fastest bow to date also the very first parallel or beyond parallel and a shooter for sure

Maybe someone can riddle me this, it don't matter what kinda new bow people buy lately. But everytime over the past 5 yrs , everytime I'd take bow into bow shop, and have new Strings & cables put on . Everytime, every brand of bow , Pse Hoyt , Matthew's, even Prime, bow tech. Every time in the 3 different states I've lived in . When I picked up my bow , before shooting it I would rub my hands down the Limbs inside out all edges, & every single time I would get a sliver from whatever the manufacturer is making the limbs out of & every time I'd make the bow shop replace limbs under warranty. & since most of the time they where brand new bows, the manufacturer sends them out without fail . Some took longer than others except one blamed me & said bow was dry fired. & refused unless I paid for the limbs . By the Time PSE got it done & me paying out of pocket even though. I HAVE NEVER DRY FIRED A SINGLE BOW IN MY LIFE . OTHER THEN MAYBE A KIDS BOW 35 YRS AGO. WHY DO THESE NEW BOW LIMBS SEEM TO Do you DELAMINATE?? OR CRACK & SPLINTER ON THE PRE-APPROVED bow presses. These companies ALL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO BEFORE, I buy another new bow. The only one that hasn't had an issue. Is one I dislike shooting or even admitting to owning. But I'm gonna drop the name anyway. Lots of hand vibration, not the easiest to tune. Not hard but takes lots of time. Not quiet, definitely not fast. But built right , and tougher then all these $1500 plus bare bows for half the Price. One thing I will say PSE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. TOOK LONG ENOUGH THAT MY LIMBS BECAME OBSOLETE, so they had stuck on either newer limbs or maybe older ones that didn't match the bow. I can't say they didn't work they did . But not being the right limbs made the bow feel like I was pulling back about 110# so wasn't something I could practice with so even after spending just over an extra $300 , the bow wasn't something I could sit and shoot over & over without causing shoulder damage in the long term. & went round again with PSE, & ENDED UP THROWING THE BOW IN A DUMPSTER, then Reached in with a knife attached to a stick & cut the strings & cables so no one would want to fish it out as that did a number on it. But after all said and done. THAT MAY AS WELL BEEN 20 $100 Dollar bills. So thank you PSE for stealing my money and ripping me off. This is what a company worth millions of dollars does to the average customer who spends their hard earned money to. So the only bow that hasn't splintered while getting new cables & strings . Is a bow I almost passed on trying out. It's just to much of a beginners bow. But Fread Bear & his legacy are well worth a second look if you want something that may very well last a life time but you will at the very least get your money's worth out of it.

That’s been my experience too. The tko is virtually indestructible. Those factory aluminum half-outs are the weak point. They even bend on hard 3d targets sometimes.

Most annoying bow of its time lol. The fact that with a cable driven rest, it needs to be tiller tuned in order to paper tune is ridiculous.

Your rest should be dead center in line with the string, that is how you tune a bow. Paper tuning is not necessary. You know how I know? 2 weeks of archery and I know everything. You want a second opinion? Ask me again.👍
